Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if “twelve” followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldn’t be “twoteen” it would be “seconteen”. Think about it. It’s not “threeteen” it’s “thirteen” as in “third”. It’s not “fiveteen” it’s “fifteen” as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count “first, second, third, fourth, fifth,” and so on, so eleven would be “firsteen” and twelve would be “secondteen” or “seconteen”. “Firsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen….” It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.

InternetShaquille has a lot of really incredible videos on his youtube covering education for beginner cooks, simple flexible recipes, and advice on care and cleaning of your kitchen and equipment! As I was learning to cook, his lessons were invaluable, and as I've gotten significantly more skilled I often find that his videos still have something I missed or can use shoring up on, especially his guides to food that I didn't have a background in (like his How to Reheat Corn Tortillas video).

He's super sweet and down to earth, a great educator, and his videos are great for people learning to cook on a budget OR learning to cook completely on their own (like I had to). Whenever friends ask me about learning cook, Im sending them links to this guy's youtube. (Also a youtube is much easier and more reliable to navigate than a tiktok channel) Check him out!
