I’m not! I’m gonna keep writing otdn but I just won’t be around on here much anymore. idk there’s something about this platform that really just gets me down ya kno? I keep measuring my worth based on notes and comparing myself to others and it just ain’t healthy ya know?

I wasn't sure if I should make a post about this because I already informed the person I thought it might matter to but I think I'm gonna be leaving this blog behind and I will be disengaging from the fandom in general. There is no real reason why other than that the universe is ruled by entropy and so things must always always fall apart, some much quicker than others. It has been real!

All the people crying and being emotional over the loss of Opportunity is why I love science. Oppy’s work brought people joy and a sense of wonder. A bot expected to run 90 Martian days gave us 15 YEARS of insight and exploration and the excitement that comes with that. Science can be unifying and uplifting. Crying over this lil’ rover’s loss couldn’t be more natural, in my eyes.

Oppy, you did good, kid. I’m sure we’ll see you again someday when we arrive in person.
