The young Green Heron rescued 6/16 down on South Roosevelt unable to stand after a possible vehicle strike is responding to hydrotherapy treatment in our clinic. The patient has made a strong recovery and continues to work towards a return to the wild. www.keywestwildlifecenter.org
Baby's first killdeer! Crissy Field Marsh, San Francisco, CA (2026), Which is fucked up because there are so many of them on Long Island, and they've definitely been spotted in the ball fields in Central Park. I love their little high-pitched calls, their fast, stilty, bobbing walk and striking throat and chest stripes.

Daybreak - Antonio Peticov (1982)
All of American political and social discourse consists of taking words and systematically stripping them of meaning or perverting their usage. Except for gender... No, *that's* always strictly defined and immutable.
I know regional variations in pronunciation are whole thing, and god knows I grew up with enough of them. But having to sit through an entire video where a native speaker of American English kept pronouncing analyst as /ˈeɪnəlɪst/ really had me going.
