“Whoa hey, calm it down with the glowy eyes.” Jonas said putting his hands up, “I have someone here that needs me. Not sure you know what that’s like. Besides, all I’ve done is exist. Which, by the way, is kind of on your Father or whatever the hell it is that piece of crap is to you angels.”

He knew what that was like, he also knew he had failed in that duty. “Existing is sometimes enough to be condemned. To have your pathetic existence be the fault of god is almost laughable. No. You are Lucifer’s creation and his alone. You really think having your soul twisted continuously for centuries until you become a disgusting twisted remnant was gods choice? No. Lucifer does that. He needed his army and so he made you and yours. Place the blame where blame is due.”

“ooo someone likes it rough” Jonas smirked a little as hit against the wall, “too bad pretentious assholes aren’t my type.” he was doing his best not to show any fear, knowing full well he was outmatched when it came to power.  “the suit and I are quite comfortable just the way we are.”

Michael’s eyes started to glow blue. “You know, now that I think of it I really have no reason to keep you around. So wipe that ridiculous smirk off of your face.” If it were up to him he would burn every demon out of their shell but sometimes they were helpful, especially when it came to gaining power and influence.

The man didn’t have to stay a word for Jonas to know what he was. It was like it radiated off him, even more so than some of the other angels he’d come across before. This meant he must have been one of the higher ups. An archangel, perhaps. “Any trouble? At all? Well, where is the fun in that?”

Michael chuckled as if he was in on the joke before he reached out, his finger tips against Jonas’ chest and pushed him back against the nearby wall hard enough for the bricks to crack a little. “I don’t particularly care about your fun. What you should care about though is staying inside of the vessel you’ve stolen. One wrong move and I turn that grubby little sludge you call essence into ashes.”

“I was wondering when you would show up.” Michael stepped up along side the horseman. “It was only a matter of time before Death himself descended upon Wildemount. I do hope you and your siblings aren’t planning on banding together. It’s hardly the right time for the apocalypse.” @palehxrse​

Wrath tilted her head to the side, examining the archangel as if she were searching for something. Michael’s offer, as incredulous as it sounded, was tempting. Naturally, Keziah couldn’t care less about the souls of mortals. But the idea that her father could have that kind of influence terrified her. “If I agree, what will you have me do?” She asked, “I assume you have a plan. I’m not going to agree to risk my life for a hypothetical solution. Yes, you defeated him once, but how do you know you can do it again?”

“Because this time Lucifer isn’t at his full power. He’s fallen which means even with Heaven closed off I have access to more power than he does. There are also angels on earth who would fight to make sure he never rises up again. Mostly all I ask of you is that you refuse to take part if he asks for your assistance, that you tell me of any plans you happen to overhear. I won’t make you fight him. He is still your father after all.”

Michael stepped in front of the demon, blocking his path. It would be easy for him to smite the little beast and rid the earth of it but purgatory was already open and the empty was filling up so adding another energy to the mix would just be the opposite of what he was trying to achieve. “I do hope your kind aren’t getting into any trouble here in town. I’d hate to have to clean up what is left of you.” @jonasxoberholt​

[ WAIT ] : sender, out of concern, waits for receiver to make sure they’re okay after noticing them act strangely.

He hadn't been right since the banishing. There was an odd inconsistent tremor in his hand and a weight on his chest. Perhaps it was a cosmic joke Death would make an appearance in that moment. "Death waits for us all but seemingly me in particular this time. Don't let me hold you up, Elrick. Nothing I do with my day is worth your time."

“Sir is fine. I am currently male after all. Commander or General if you wish to be more formal. Adapting to human terms for things is something we both may struggle with. I’m so rarely on earth.” He gave her a small nod. 

“You’re dismissed. I’ll catch up with you at a later date. If you need me, prayer works just fine as a point of contact. I’m sure you know how.”

Michele bit back a smart remark to that. While she might’ve replied sarcastically to Malachi or Min, Michael’s very presence commanded respect. She was pretty sure she’d be struck dead on the spot if she got sassy with him.

“Sir, yes, sir,” she said, saluting him once more before turning to leave.

“Quietly … right,” Michele said, grimacing some. Quiet wasn’t her strong suit. When he spoke about Lucifer turning their “most loyal,” she hesitated, wondering if he meant Raziel and that was why he’d disappeared. She wanted to ask about it, but was afraid of what the answer might be.

“I got it, sir. Captain? Commander,” Michele tripped over what the proper protocol was in speaking with an Archangel. “Mr. Michael.” She gave him a small salute.

“Great.” That wasn’t exactly what Malachi was expecting for an answer but he had to just attempt to accept that. “I’m not ignoring it.” He nearly snapped but managed to keep his cool. “I’m working through it with her but it’s difficult when you find out that a part of your life wasn’t what you thought it was.” 

“Yeah, well I’m disappointing and always will be.” Malachi shrugged.

“I can’t begin to understand how you felt. I’ve never known pain like that. The closest to it would be my battle with Lucifer. Fighting my brother wasn’t something I ever wanted or assumed I would have to do. The aftermath of it has stuck with me to this day. Even still it can’t quite compare to your own trauma, to be violated by the very mortals we are sworn to protect.” He could take Malachi’s anger should he have chosen to show it. Anger was something Michael was made to face down. 

“You haven’t always been. Am I disappointed you fell? Yes. Still, now you have a legacy. One that lives and breathes and is loyal to you and heaven.”

Keziah snorted. “Of course I want chaos. But I suppose I could be swayed.” She folded her arms across her chest. How was he even more smug than Pride? “If by ‘at odds’ you mean I’m willing to toss his ass back to Hell and watch the veils snap permanently shut behind him, then yes. We’re still at odds.”

“What if I offered you organised chaos.” Michael put forward. “Your father would likely prefer the veils break. If they do he’ll have a lot more power and influence. Souls would have no place to go but down. But.. If they were fixed. What if I could promise he’d be forced back in to Hell like he had after the battle of heaven. It might not keep him forever but it would certainly give you a few tens of thousands of years without him. In that time I’ll allow you free reign of any region you pick.”

Do you like anything about Earth?

"Not particularly. It is prone to weakness. I have always supported my fathers plan but never understood why he would make the mortal plain so lacking."

Got it,” Michele said with a nod. “I’ve heard of them, but I don’t know much about them, honestly.” She hadn’t been the research side of her and Imogen’s pairing, but she realized she was going to have to step up and do both if she was going to stay ahead of things. “I’ll look into them and be vigilant. You can count on me,” she added, saluting him for good measure.

“Do so quietly. Last thing I want is to spook anyone into action. We only move when when we are required to and as of right now observation is the best strategy.” The young Shadowhunter's eagerness to please was something Michael knew he could bank on. He just had to keep her on side which was proving harder than ever these days. “You should know Lucifer has already been at work. Using his demons to turn our most loyal. You have to be vigilant, Michele. The Devil’s work often looks like what we want most.”
