This comic is sooooo good there are so many little nooks and crannies in the worldbuilding and soooo many cool ideas I'm so mad at Levi that he wrote this so good

Scooby-Doo is a dog who can talk, which is amazing, and he largely uses his powers of speech to communicate how scared he is of ghosts and monsters, and basically the only thing his owners do is drive him around the country putting him inside various haunted houses and such. I wish I could take Scooby-Doo aside, I want to say to him, these people are not your friends.

#another favorite thing i did in 2025 #“maybe you won’t break” i went back and forth on this caption back when i posted it #originally i wrote “maybe if you bend you won’t break” which was a reference to the way palm trees bend and avoid breakage during hurricane #this piece was really fun for me to think about symbolism in.#the strength card in tarot is soooooo richard parker coded to me #wanting to be strong by having self control and compassion and courage and quiet pure self confidence #fearing that you're instead at your core vulnerable and raw and angry and violent and rigid and perpetually about to fly off the handle #so the bits i chose are like a prayer for resilience and strength in patience #things that have to wait quietly #sometimes for a long time #and even when it's waiting through something really dark and hard and maybe not going to “pay off”#dandelions growing heartily anywhere they can #letting their seeds go far by accepting the wind #cactuses surviving without water #hibiscus living in places with hostile weather #cicadas waiting underground for 17 years to live a few months in the sun #cicadas are also often symbolically connected to music #and music survives generations often not by being like flashy but by being memorable and beautiful #palm trees bend during a storm and it keeps them from breaking #etc
