There I was enjoying a meeting with the 6th District Angels in Adoption family, when all of a sudden a lightsaber duel broke out.

This week, the House once again passed legislation to audit the Federal Reserve. Harry Reid won’t take it up in the Senate. Throwback to when he used to think it was important too.

We remember those who died thirteen years ago. May we never forget.

What's your opinion about the Federal Reserve?

I am on the Financial Services Committee, and worked with former Congressman Ron Paul on his Audit the Fed bill as a cosponsor.

Since its founding in 1913, the Federal Reserve has enjoyed relative autonomy free from congressional oversight. Both the value and the purchasing power of the U.S. dollar are decided by this institution’s actions, and I am concerned about their closed-door decision making. It should not be allowed to operate under the veil of ‘independence.’
