i don’t want anyone to get ~offended~ at what i’m about to say as this isn’t directed at anyone in particular, but i just wanna say that i really hope adam driver fans seeing blackkklansmen realize the importance and political significance of the film and don’t just go to see it for another adam driver character to thirst over. obviously i don’t expect adam driver blogs to write an essay on how the film addresses issues our country has regarding race to this day, and there’s nothing wrong with talking about how good he looks, but PLEASE remember and acknowledge the message of the film and don’t downplay the movie to just “adam driver looks hot in flannel”

The thing is we still don’t have the whole story about what happened. In Luke’s perspective, he ‘left with half my students and slaughtered the rest’… but how would he know? All he knows is that when he got out, 6 were dead and 6 were missing. He doesn’t know HOW they died. For all we know, there could have been a battle, not a slaughter. Why would half of them willingly leave? What was going on? WE DON’T KNOW. We never saw Ben’s perspective of that fight, his version of the story cuts off at the point where he brought the building down on himself. We don’t have all the details. But people are out here throwing this shit around like a fact. The “slaughter of padawans”? As far as fact goes, thats an ANAKIN thing.

i think most likely he killed those padawans but it’s possible it wasn’t by himself. i think the other six students helped him and they became the knights of ren.

Oh, I’m not saying he didn’t kill them, I’m just saying… we don’t know the full situation/circumstances. As you said, was he alone in this or no? Was there a reason he took up arms against them? Did he do it on a whim or did they come for him first? What made them/him do it? Why did half of them take his side (or at least left with him). These are the questions we need answers to.
