A few years ago, an old friend messaged me here on Tumblr.

They were a friend from Miiverse, that did Warrior Cats RP with me, where I played a character named Shellclaw. (I intend to keep other details private, as I don't know how much of it this friend wants known publicly.)

About a year ago, they messaged me again. They said they think about me often, and that they hope I'm alright. That means a lot.

Unfortunately, I only just now saw those messages. As they noted, I don't use Tumblr much.

And even more unfortunately, the blog associated with those messages no longer exists - so I can't reply. I feel a bit sad because of that.

So Obi-Wan lets Vader destroy him here, yes? Then later on, Obi-Wan appears to Luke as a benevolent Force spirit – making us think Obi-Wan chose to die so he could guide Luke from the afterlife, right? 

But. What if. WHAT. IF. What if the real reason Obi-Wan died was so he could annoy the hell out of Vader from beyond the grave?

Imagine Darth Vader, the most serious dude in the galaxy, in a super serious meeting with all of his most serious officers – and Obi-Wan is right at his ear whispering groan-worthy puns – and Vader can’t do a thing about it because no one else can see or hear Obi-Wan.

Imagine Vader stomping around the Death Star, making storm troopers get out of his way – because Obi Wan is floating right behind him and mimicking his breathing like: “Hoo-pah, hoo-pah – that’s what you sound like.”

Imagine Vader in his Tie Fighter spinning out of control, lost for days, as Obi-Wan sits beside him cracking horrible dad jokes while eating ghost snacks.
