It’s very long, and it’s written in Chinese, so I don’t really expect anyone to read it.. but there are two things I really want to clarify:
1️⃣ My OC, Researcher Land, has both a male version and a female version. They do not exist in the same world—please think of them as parallel universes.
2️⃣ The female Land has a son, but… this might sound a bit silly to clarify… I just want to say that he is not Clef’s child. I only mention this in case anyone might assume that.
But if anyone actually ends up reading these stories, please let me know... I would be really, really happy 🥺 (There are also my Clef headcanons in them.)
And p.s.
Besides my OC × Clef, I also make Persona × Clef works. And the two are completely separate.
My persona is called 謝小山 (Xie Xiaoshan) / Moundy. She’s a short-haired girl with a strong nose, eyes are very sensitive to sunlight and are almost always tearing up, and she has two moles next to her left eye. She’s kind of silly.
You can refer to Moundy with he / she / they pronouns.
I can't explain it, but for those who like Clef, I sincerely recommend reading Victor Hugo's "The Man Who Laughs." I see a very strong Clef vibe in Ursus. I'm going crazy.

Afterword
This is the first time I’ve tried drawing a comic in this format. Honestly, my technique is still very clumsy, and I genuinely feel a little embarrassed about it. Even so, I’m very happy that I was able to draw several stories that had been living in my head and finally share them with other people.
Since the stories are arranged in the order they were created, you’ll probably notice that my very first attempt looks much rougher and more inexperienced compared with the later ones.
My heartfelt thanks to 阿白, 辣椒狗狗, and an anonymous friend for kindly lending me their SCP OCs, which made these stories feel much richer. I’m also especially grateful to 阿實 for creating Emela as female Land’s close friend—it’s truly an honor.
I’m honestly not sure whether my comics communicate what I intended, so I’d like to leave a few notes and some additional explanations here.
is about Dr. Clef writing a Spring Festival couplet that, in his opinion, represents the word “SHIT,” and giving it to Land.
The key idea behind <Valentine’s Day> is that, while the readers know the story takes place on Valentine’s Day, Researcher Land simply goes through what she believes to be an ordinary workday. She never speaks to the person she has feelings for, though the two of them share a single moment of eye contact. To the reader, it may seem as though she’s quietly expressing her feelings because it’s Valentine’s Day… but the following day we learn that she didn’t even realize it had been Valentine’s Day. Only after finding out does she become embarrassed, probably because she keeps thinking back to that brief exchange of glances.
tells the story of a completely absurd chase and counterattack. In it, Moundy mentions the Dune film series, and the desert outfits they wear were indeed inspired by those films. She also mentions Blood Meridian, whose atmosphere was the primary inspiration for this story. Finally, the scene where Clef and Moundy fight together by coordinating their gunfire was inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
Throughout the day, Dawn receives three separate requests for help: one on the way to work, one after getting off work, and one later that evening. Although Dawn keeps thinking about going to the record store to listen to Bowie’s new album, they choose to help each person instead. In the end, Dawn arrives too late to hear the long-awaited “Heroes” before the shop closes. Fortunately, a record store clerk who is on friendly terms with Dawn secretly decides to lend them the album for one night.
After finishing the final favor, Dawn finally returns home and listens to Bowie’s new album—one that would later come to be regarded as one of the greatest and most important works of his career—and is struck by it in a way that words can hardly describe.
Later that autumn and winter, while trying to break up a fight on the street, Dawn is accidentally shot and killed.
The second track on “Heroes”, “Joe the Lion,” is actually a tribute to the performance artist Chris Burden. Burden once had himself nailed onto a car, so I included a photograph of that performance in the background of the illustration for that song.
The third track is the album’s title song, “Heroes,” which tells the story of two lovers separated by the Berlin Wall. In 1987, Bowie performed a concert in West Berlin and deliberately placed loudspeakers facing the Wall, turning up the volume so that people in East Berlin could hear his music—including “Heroes.” During the concert, Bowie even addressed the audience on the other side of the Wall, saying that the song was dedicated to them. On the third day of the concerts, many fans in East Berlin refused to leave. Eventually, the police and military dispersed the crowd, and more than two hundred people were arrested.
In November 1989, the Berlin Wall fell.
As for Dawn’s friends, they are a group of young people deeply interested in art, literature, and politics. They often gather in pubs to discuss and argue over ideas, and they frequently take part in demonstrations and other forms of social activism. In the conservative atmosphere of the time, it was only natural that this group became a thorn in the side of the authorities, and quite a few of them were regular visitors to police detention.
Dawn is especially interested in queer issues, communism, and anti-war movements—subjects that were hardly easy to discuss openly in the United States at the time.
I’d also like to thank my friend 莉絲 for starting this shared universe. They created Daniel, Lan (the one who says Daniel’s dog is ugly), and Angela, the girl fascinated by the occult. Together with 墨菲 (Ray and Roger) and 艾莉 (J. J and the Boss), they created a wonderful cast of OCs and kindly allowed me to include them in Dawn’s story. (Although Roger never actually made it into the comic…)
Finally, whether or not you’ve ever listened to “Heroes,” I’d sincerely like to invite you to set aside some time whenever you have the chance and enjoy all ten tracks from beginning to end. I hope the illustrations I created for each song in this comic will give you a different experience when accompanied by the music.
“Heroes” was selected as one of the albums included in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, along with eight other David Bowie albums. Bowie also holds the distinction of having more albums featured on that list than any other artist.
Last but certainly not least, I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to my younger sister, 柚子, and to my anonymous friend. Thank you both for staying with me throughout the creation of this comic, and for all the advice and encouragement you gave me. My anonymous friend even came up with the adorable character Juan at the last minute and generously lent me several other OCs as well, making Dawn’s story feel all the more alive.
可來敷自己也說過他喜歡睡美人動畫裡的梅菲瑟雖然他聲稱他小時候迷戀她是因為"Hot sorceress babe who can turn into a huge dragon, how sexy is that" 以相當順直有性戀的方式在描述他喜歡梅菲瑟的理由,我覺得他說他小時候迷戀的部分是真的,稱她性感可人則是假的(畢竟我們現在都知道他有浪漫傾向,但就是無性戀),看呀他就是一直都受邪魅強大的女性吸引啊
