|| Death from the Mer!siders/Siren!siders AU asking reader where the rest of his captured people are. ||

I like to think that all of his brethren have vocal chords not developed for human language so it sounds eerie and grotesque when it comes from him. You can tell the emotions are strong when there's a distinct attempt at communication that is not in the reader's head.

I also had horror in mind when I was making this AU up. No fun and games, all scary and creepy and fearful.

If I'm feeling it, I might do a little drabble for this. I will also be posting a poll for what to call this AU. It's between Mer!siders and Siren!siders.

MER!SIDERS//SIREN!SIDERS

|| AND THUS, ANOTHER AU WAS BORN!! ||

PREMISE: Darksiders Siren/Mermaid AU where you work in an underwater observatory and have just learned that mermaids are real by accident. Now you're stuck tending to them by the council who seek to harvest the strange and otherworldly power of these odd beings because they believe the presence of these 4 signify the end times of humanity. The council however has other plans in mind for what to use their power for.

Dubbed "Project Horsemen", the council seeks to use their mysterious siren songs, odd secretions, and overall mystique to brainwash humans to submit to the company's will.

Reader is unable to hear the horsemen as they cannot speak. They can only feel the deep frequencies of vocalizations and vibrations in the water and emanating off their tank. Occasionally they can hear voices in their head, but they think they're going insane because of it. Little does reader know its because the food in the vending machines has been laced with the mucus of the horsemen's dead brethren. Not discovered until later.

After learning reader can hear the siren's voices Death notes that the only way for the to be the case is if the reader has ingested some of their flesh or secretions. He's distrustful of reader and believes they have some sort of connection to the others they were separated from. Deep in his gut he feels something is wrong with the rest of their kind and that reader has the key.

Lilith is the head of the aquatic center and works with Lucifer and the council somehow. She used to be an independent researcher until she met Samael. She's also always believed that there was something deeper to the trenches. Something beyond human comprehension, which fueled her research and her finding Samael. Lucifer knew she'd do this and pushed her into it more. Lucifer continues to fund her as long as she pushed the council to use the horsemen.

Samael is another deep-sea monstrosity on the far end of the ocean research center.

Vulgrim runs the gift shop. After you get moved to the deep sea research facility, the only way to communicate with him is via phone. You can only call him during business hours though.

DARKSIDERS WEEK 2021 - Day 3

I like how this fandom often depicts him as this sad but romantic fellow. Which isn't surprising when you look at his backstory. So, have a little doodle of him! :)

I went to the village for a week and the Internet connection doesn't work here every now and then, it's cold and it's raining, but now I have time to reread my favorite stories and draw a little))

What if Samael and S/o are in bed together, cuddling getting more and more suggestive, when they are rudely interrupted by a guard demanding Samael's attention to some important matter. He begrudgingly gets up to attend to whatever could be the problem. The problem turns out to be serious and takes him the majority of the morning and afternoon. He's distracted but annoyed. The S/o is off in his library, busying themselves with reading this and that, they understand he is busy. Sam gets a moment to himself and finds S/o to finish what they started....but he gets called back again. Finally it's nighttime, S/o is getting ready for bed after not seeing him all day. They both think, surely, nothing else could interrupt them........they were so wrong. Samael gets called away for the last time, it takes too long though so S/o has fallen asleep. The best he can do is to make up for his absence in the morning and cuddle up to them for tonight.

I thought this would be funny.

This is a pretty regular experience for S/O if they have committed themselves to a relationship with Samael. For all the gems and treasures promised, and not to even mention the suave, seductive nature of attention they would receive, they have to also understand that they are sharing Samael with his duty in lording over Blackstone.

At times it's nothing but a nuisance that the Blood Prince can cast aside for the meantime in favor of cuddling up to his beloved S/O, but other times are not so, forcing him to remove himself from their side to attend what problems have arisen; but not before pausing at the door and assuring his S/O that he will be back soon.

Honestly, S/O takes it in stride these days, knowing it's best not to fight it, and instead finds the humor in when Samael literally has just crawled back into bed and is laying a hand on their thigh in a flirtatious gesture, rumbling a husky, "Where were we?"

He is ready to get hot and frisky under those sheets before the guard barges in with another urgent message and the look on Samael's face says it all, and yet they giggle and affectionately run a hand down the crested horn of his chin, telling him to go sort it out. They will always wait for him.

By the later hour S/O has fallen asleep and Samael can only utter a promise that tomorrow he will do better, that they will be rewarded fully with his undivided attention come dawn.

If only all these matters did not get in the way of his time with S/O, so he could finally pop the question.
