Christiania, a utopian paradise of communal living and plentiful marijuana, was founded in 1971 in Copenhagen—and still thrives today.
The micronation will use crowdfunding for public works.
Jack Black sneak attack: camera hack. http://bit.ly/1MbshfB
In 1971 an abandoned military area in the borough of Christianshavn, in the Danish capital of Copenhagen, was taken over by squatters, and converted into a “free city” — a self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood run by their own laws independent of the government.
For a micronation that doesn't allow cameras, Christiania is pretty photogenic.
I also found Nimis, which is this amazing (huge!) anarchic sculpture located in a (not so) secret place in a nature reserve. You can walk inside it and climb the towers and I love it.
