Carver Library: "Originally opened in 1942 on Government Street above the Eagle Drug Store"
"The Carver Branch Library Book mobile holds over 1,500 books. Once a week stops were made at Zion City School, Rite Away Oyster House, Capitol Avenue at 44th Street, East End Theatre on 33 rd St., Peter Nasca's Grocery (Polk Street and East Boulevard) and Valley Park (Mitchell's Store). Twice a week stops were made at the Scotlandville Post Office."
