Louie barley raised his head from his phone as his brother spoke to him. He was sure that Dewey was tired of what Louie called a typical Tuesday, but Louie was honestly thriving. He was getting some pretty scandalous texts and he loved nothing more than to reply with one word and go back to his thing, drinking his soda, and vegging out. It was all he could ever need and it has never let him down. “I’m doing business,” he replied, his voice the usual monotone. “Louie Inc. isn’t something I can just put down for the day, Dewford. It is a lifestyle, it is a brand, and it is my hard-work.” He finally looked up from his phone and sighed. “What could you possibly want to do that is better than vegging out on the couch? This is a really comfy couch and I have worked really hard on making my dent in it!”

“Business?” Dewey repeated, eyebrows narrowed curiously. He always knew Louie was the hustler type, but never fully understood what exactly he was doing when he was doing “business”. Maybe now was his chance to find out. “Well, maybe you need an assistant or something so it doesn’t constantly fall on your shoulders. That’s how you do good business,” he replied, as if he knew anything about running a business. “Anything! Explore the mansion for a good mystery to solve, maybe pull a prank on Scrooge or Donald. Come on, what could possibly be so important in the world of Louie Inc that’s turning you into a literal couch potato? If you really can’t break away from it, maybe let me butt in and give a crack at some of it.”

It was best to rip the bandaid. Again. The quicker she get’s her response from Dewey, the sooner she can leave and the two of them could continue avoiding each other once more. And that was exactly what will happen again, as Candy wasn’t about to make herself believe that just because he wanted to talk to her now, meant he wanted to do so again later. In fact, not knowing where this conversation would lead to, it was best for her to not expect too much.

Choosing to continue standing as opposed to taking a seat for she wasn’t sure if she could sit next to him yet, Candy let Dewey speak. And as he mentioned not being over everything, she nearly humorlessly smiled. Yes, she imagined so, hence why she didn’t expect for him to talk to her today. Or ever. And as he continued on to mention her talking to Randy, she kept herself from saying the comment that came to mind. Candy had no intentions of causing another argument between them, and so she continued to stay silent until Dewey finished speaking.

And now he was, ending it with how she still deserves to be happy. It was a sweet thing for him to say, but despite the comforting intent behind him saying them. It…. felt like she was receiving another shot against her heart. If only happiness was easier achieved as it was said, she almost found herself saying yet didn’t. Instead, she bit the bottom of her lips. “……I’m sorry.” She spoke, knowing that this was the best thing for her to say at the moment. “For everything….. for being obsessive towards you, and for…… trying to get in between you and you’re relationships.” Candy apologized. After having weeks of not seeing or speaking to Dewey, though most of the time was spent with her feeling pitiful over herself, it was also enough time to allow her to reflect.

“……Letting my emotions cloud my judgment shouldn’t have been the way to go, and by doing so had costed me you…….. Not that I had you in the first place. But— I am sorry for it all. I don’t have an excuse to when it came to Fawn because I thought she was nice despite her, you know……. And as for Tinsley……..” She sighed, this part being one of the hardest things for her to say but she had to do it. “Despite me not liking her, I know now that letting the way I felt about her shouldn’t have been a factor towards how you did. Especially when you are happy with her, and if she makes you happy than……..I should’ve accepted that and let you two be that. Happy.” Happiness may not come easy for her but that didn’t mean she had to make it difficult for him. Even if it meant she couldn’t be a part of it.

Dewey wasn’t sure what was going to happen after he spoke with Candy. Would she be upset, resulting in them fighting again? He hoped that wasn’t the case, unless there was more he didn’t know that could make him upset again ... but Candy didn’t seem in the mood to be angry or upset, either. He hoped this would be closure for both of them to feel better after all the drama.

He didn’t blame her for not sitting beside him. It was obvious she wasn’t planning on standing here long, probably ready to leave the first second of silence that followed Dewey’s ramble. But instead, she apologized, which was a relief. She was finally seeing the perspective that he had on the whole situation, finally realizing how things could have been handled better than the way they had. Maybe the space had been good for the both of them.

She even brought up Tinsley, which was an even bigger relief. It wasn’t easy being in a relationship with his girlfriend when everyone judged them and thought they weren’t good together. He’d seen some comments on Tinsley’s posts and streams, had even been confronted himself about how he could do better. It was awful, but it also only made them stronger. They were both headstrong, after all, and got great satisfaction from proving people wrong.

“Thanks Candy..” he finally replied, a small smile forming. “I’m sorry how everything went down between us. And .. I hope you’re doing okay.” Hopefully, this was that first step they needed to mend their friendship, even if the two still needed some space. “So I’ll uh ... See you around, I guess?”

Darla laughed at Dewey’s name pun, used to his idiosyncrasies at this point and just finding them charming. When he told her his real middle name, it took everything she had not to laugh out loud again, this time knowing it wasn’t a joke. It was enough that she didn’t mock him outright; she couldn’t resist the temptation to tease him a little. “No way,” she said, leaking excitement in her voice. “Mine, too!” Lest her take her seriously for more than a second, she quickly added, “Nah, it’s not. It’s Dawn. But it’s so cool that we both have triple-D initials, isn’t it? Anyway, I don’t care where we go, let’s just do something spontaneous and fun.”

Dewey’s eyes immediately widened excitedly as Darla admitted to having the same middle name. “Wha—” he began excitedly, until she admitted she was kidding. His expression fell, but his smile still remained. She at least hadn’t teased him for the atrocious middle name he was given, which is what most people did. “Two triple-D’s, huh? That basically means we’re unstoppable,” he chuckled. “Spontaneous and fun, the two things I’m good at being!” He didn’t mind driving them around and seeing where the road took them, after all. Leaving the mansion and heading to Dewey’s car, he got into the driver’s seat and got ready to take off with Darla for a fun-filled afternoon. “So, why adventure with me instead of Huey?” He asked, genuinely curious. “I mean, I can’t deny that I’m the best triplet, so it makes sense, but I always thought you two were closer. Did my brother finally bore you to death with Junior Woodchuck facts?”

“Everything’s fine,” she immediately reassured him, sensing his hesitation as the possibilities for what serious topic she obviously wanted to discuss flashed through his eyes like a film reel. We need to talk always sounded like we need to break up, but that wasn’t where she was going with this at all…It was only after she assured him that everything was all right that she remembered that, in fact, it was quite possible everything was not all right and may never go back to normal again. The fear that she might be pregnant might even be one of the worse outcomes Dewey was imagining, which didn’t make confessing this any easier.

Tinsley sat on the foot of her bed, pulling her boyfriend to sit down beside her, and took a deep breath before finding the nerve to speak again. “It’s…Okay, I don’t wanna freak you out or anything, and I almost didn’t want to tell you any of this before I find out for sure, but then if it is positive, I’d feel like I definitely should have told you first, ‘cause I don’t wanna hide anything from you. You know? Like, we should be able to trust each other completely, so…What I’m trying to say is that my period is…late…” She braced herself for his reaction, biting her lip.

Dewey couldn’t help but think of worst case scenarios with Tinsley’s words. After all, in his last relationship, he really thought things were perfect until Fawn ended things. It had thrown him a curveball, made him doubt everything about himself in a relationship, and although he knew things were different with Tinsley — him and Fawn had never gotten to the I Love You stage, after all — he still couldn’t help but be a little insecure. So many people were against him and Tinsley, and sometimes he wondered if Tinsley would get sick of the hate one day and finally end things.

Her reassuring words were helpful to make him a little less anxious, but he still couldn’t help but wonder what was up. If everything was fine, then why did she seem so serious? They were never serious around each other, unless it was something not-positive. He sat beside her on the bed, practically holding his breath as he waited for what was to come...

At first, he struggled to comprehend where Tinsley was going with this. It felt like she was bouncing back and forth with her words, unsure of how to approach whatever conversation this was supposed to be. It wasn’t until he heard if it is positive that things immediately clicked. Holy shit, is she pregnant? Is she wanting a baby? He had to force himself to not make a face, but his eyes did widen at this news. “Late?” Dewey repeated, blinking a few times as if to make sure this was actually happening, that this wasn’t a dream. “L-Like how late?”

“Game night, with your pretty much professional video game player girlfriend? Yeah, that’s a no from me,” he said with a laugh. “If you’re talking board games, sure. Maybe then the rest of us have a fighting chance. Do you even come close to beating her when you guys play together?” It was honestly impressive, how good of a gamer Tinsley was. Not that he’d ever admit it, but Huey had spent time watching some of her streams just to see how good his brother’s girlfriend was, and he was fairly certain he’d never be able to beat her if given the chance.

Dewey laughed at Huey’s comment, shaking his head. “I definitely meant board games. Tinsley kicks my ass at video games on a daily basis,” Dewey admitted sheepishly. “I even had to ask her friend for some gamer tips. My skills are getting better, but I still have a long way to go. Anyway, I was thinking more like charades or even like, Cards Against Humanity or something stupidly entertaining like that.”

Swizz chuckled at his new friend’s complaint, shrugging his shoulders. “I don’t know what to tell you, man. I’ve been playing with Tinsley for as long as I can remember. She has a very specific style of gameplay. I guess that’s one of the benefits of having friends for this long.” He set down his controller, reaching for a slice of the pizza the two had ordered in. “Please, it’s nothing. You’re giving me an ego boost,” he teased, “and I don’t need to give Tinsley another reason to pester me. How are things going with the two of you, by the way? You’re probably the last person I would’ve picked for her, no offense, but you seem like a good match.”

Dewey didn’t know how he felt about Tinsley’s friends from the beginning, specifically after the fight occurred — after all, their reputation made them sound like a bunch of rich snobs that didn’t care about hurting others around them. A lot of this was just rumors, though, as Dewey quickly learned. Between Tinsley, Swizz and Cami, he definitely knew there was more to them than meets the eye. Randy, well, he wasn’t so sure, and the others he hadn’t quite grown close enough to fully judge.

He laughed at Swizz’s reply, shaking his head. “Glad I could help,” he responded jokingly. “We’ve been doing great, actually. You’re not the first one to say that, to be honest. Even though things started out pretty rough, we’ve really had a chance to connect more now that things have settled down.” He paused, a thought popping into his head that he’d had on the back of his mind for awhile. “I don’t know if this is weird to ask, but ... Do you think we’re better together than uh .. Than her and Randy? Like, do you think she’s doing better, I mean?”

Her body urged her to continue moving forward. For her to resist the sight of Dewey and leave the area he was sitting in, possibly even for her to exit the park entirely so that there would be a safe enough distance between them. Doing that would’ve been for the best for the two, Candy wanting for her presences to not cause anymore problems than it already did if she stuck around, and as well as she didn’t need for her heart to hurt anymore. She wasn’t sure if she could handle it again if she stays.

However, in typical Dewey fashion, he couldn’t just let her go. Despite Candy choosing to do the right thing and focus on how he would feel if she were to stay any longer to talk to him, he goes and asks her to wait. For her to wait. Was he calling out to the right person? If it weren’t for the fact that the two had locked eyes briefly before Candy tried to make a quick exit, than she may have been able to trick herself into thinking that he was calling out to someone else. But for once, she knew for a fact that it was her who Dewey was referring to. So when her body came to a stop at his words, the girl had then found herself sighing.

Why was he doing this? Shouldn’t he be happy that she was leaving him alone? She shouldn’t even be dwelling on this thoughts either, having them would only make her want to stay even more when she shouldn’t. Yet as he asked if she wanted to sit, rather than responding to that, Candy sighed once again and looked back at him with a tired yet cautious gaze. “……What do you want, Dewey?”

Huey would be so pissed at me right now, Dewey thought to himself as soon as he’d stopped Candy in her tracks. Deep down, though, he knew it wasn’t as simple as just never talking to her again. They shared mutual friends, and she was even close with Webby, meaning her presence at the mansion probably wasn’t going to fully come to an end. Eventually, they’d have to find a way to make peace with each other, even if it seemed impossible.

The sigh he heard escape Candy’s lips wasn’t a good sign, but it was also to be expected. He was probably making things even more confusing — hell, he was confused. He hadn’t thought about the idea of running into Candy around town, and now that it was happening, well ... everything just felt jumbled and conflicting. This was his friend first, after all.

When he asked her if she wanted to sit, he didn’t know if she actually would or not. In fact, he didn’t know if she’d even stop in her tracks. He wouldn’t have blamed her if she’d kept walking. He sighed, too. “I .... I just wanted to say that .. I’m still not over everything that happened, and I still think you’re nuts for talking to Randy,” he admitted with a light chuckle. “But ... Having some space between us has given me a lot to think about.” He was treading lightly, choosing his words carefully. “I know things won’t be normal between us, probably ever again, and we probably still need some space, but .. I feel bad for some of the things I said to you.” It wasn’t easy for Dewey to admit that. His brother, for example, thought that Dewey was being too nice. And maybe he was, but that didn’t mean that this didn’t feel necessary to help the two of them feel a little better. “Even if some of the things you did were questionable, you .. you still deserve to be happy, too.”

Life in Walt Grove had been a bit of a whirlwind for Webby in the past year. To most, they wouldn’t have taken her as someone who could’ve dealt with all of it so well - with her very sheltered and frankly lonely upbringing, no one blamed her grandmother for the initial reservations and the fretting over weather or not the small blonde would be okay operating independently. When it came to her life, it was the one thing that couldn’t be planned out. Neither could Donald and the triplets showing up. When Huey, Dewey, and Louie stepped into the picture, it flipped everything upside down. Not in a bad way, though - suddenly, she had these sort of pseudo-siblings, these three boys just about her age who wanted to hang out with her, wanted to go on adventures with her, who indulged her in her first times on trying things. All of her love seemed to be reciprocated. Out of the three of them, the one that seemed to be closest to her was Dewey. It was obvious that something just clicked between them, their personalities sharing so many similarities it was as if they really were born and raised together like everyone thought. There wasn’t anything he could ask for that she wouldn’t do everything in her power to help out in fulfilling.

When he came to her, almost at full-speed, with the biggest smile on his face, she couldn’t help but jump up and down a little with secondhand excitement over whatever had him so happy. “ Yes yes yeeees ? ” she prompted in return as he stopped in front of her, the child-like demeanor fitting for the two of them even at twenty-one. “ I am never busy. ” She laughed a bit, the truth maybe a little self-deprecating. It was easy to not linger on it, though, as his offer made her baby blue hues go a little wide. “ A mystery ? ” she repeated, voice dropping in volume. “ A secret mystery ? ” Oh, this was what she was made for. “ Yes. No questions asked. Whatever you need help with, I’m in, ” she answered quickly, excitement finally bubbling over. “ What’re we on the hunt for ? ” So maybe she had one question, but it was just to step off into whatever exciting thing he had in store for the two of them.

Dewey knew right away he’d chosen the right person to join him on this mystery, never doubting Webby for a second. She seemed to immediately match his energy as he found her in the hallway, and his smile only grew wider. He surprisingly would have been anxious to bring any of this up to his brothers or uncles, but it felt so easy to share this with the blonde.

“Never busy? Well you’ll never be saying that again with this mystery,” he replied, putting an arm around her shoulder and leading her to his room. “Top secret,” he was quick to correct her, already knowing she was in before he had initially asked. “Sweet! First we gotta dew-scend to the Dewey cave,” he explained, not wanting to spoil the mystery before showing her everything he’d gathered ( which wasn’t much, but still something ! )

As soon as they were at his room, he shut the door behind them, looking at Webby and becoming a little more serious. “Okay, real talk. I’m pretty sure if anyone finds out we’re doing this, they’ll have our asses, but I trust you,” he began. “I’ve gotten a head start on my own, but .. You’ve always been the brains of our adventures, so that’s why you’re my go-to.” There were other reasons why he chose Webby too, of course, but the other reasons would be more obvious once she knew what this was about. “I’ve been ... Doing some snooping behind Donald and Scrooge’s backs, trying to find out what exactly happened with my mom,” he finally confessed, hesitant but still trusting her enough to admit this. “It’s just hard because there’s barely anything about her anywhere, but,” he walked over to open his closet, pulling out an old framed photo he’d found of Della and Donald. “I at least found this. Doesn’t really help with much, but,” he shrugged, showing her the photo and meeting her gaze again. “I know you know way more about our family than any of us do, so ... Tell me everything you know about Della Duck.”

“You don’t think I know that? You’re too nice, that’s why.” With a sigh, Huey fixed his tie in the mirror, shrugging his shoulders at his brother. “Me neither, man. Being the oldest of this shit show is exhausting sometimes,” he teased. “Happier things ahead, though. Speaking of, how are things with Tinsley? I feel like I haven’t asked in a while. I want to maybe spend some time with her besides in a hospital room, if that’s not too much to ask. I mean, not to third wheel. Maybe you could meet Liv, too.”

“Too nice?” Dewey repeated, eyebrows narrowed. He didn’t think he was too nice, but maybe he just saw things differently than his older brother did. “Well, you’re still doing a good job, so just keep doing what you do best,” Dewey replied, giving Huey a brotherly pat on the back. “Things are good, and hopefully they stay that way,” he replied, sticking his hands in his pockets. “Yeah, dude, maybe we all need to hang out here at some point. We could have like, a game night or something!”

If she could help it, Candy made sure to avoid places she was certain Dewey would be at. Partly because she knew it was best to keep her distance from him now that he very evidently implied that he didn’t want her around anymore but also partly because seeing him up close again would be difficult for her to deal with unless she wanted to deal with fighting the urge of not wanting to cry or get angry at him again. To say in simple words, she just wasn’t ready to face him again.

But she should’ve known that at some point she would find herself at the same place as Dewey. Intentionally or not, Candy couldn’t predict all the places he would be and at which time, and though it was a public park they were at, the sight of him did still cause the girl tense. Normally, Candy would find herself feeling warm and fuzzy inside with the desire to smile and immediately be as close to him as she possibly could without them literally being stuck together, but this time around she couldn’t allow herself to feel any of that. Rather, she internally cursed, wondering how she hadn’t noticed Dewey sooner before he could spot her so she could turn around and pretend to be none the wiser.

“…Hello.” Candy lightly nodded as she diverted her gaze away from him and back towards the path she had been walking in. Maybe she if keeps on walking, they could pretend that they hadn’t seen each other? Would that be what he would want? He greeted her first though. No— leave, Candy. “….Goodbye.” She mumbled, choosing to attempt to walk away instead.

Dewey was totally overthinking the moment as Candy was standing in front of him. Should he have ignored her? Well, of course he should have, but he was Dewey, and sometimes he said the wrong things in awkward moments, like this one. If he had any control of what he said or did in a moment like this, he surely would have kept his head down and not said anything at all.

The moment was excruciatingly awkward, in a way where it almost hurt. Strangely, this was the first time Dewey and Candy interacted where Candy was clearly disinterested. Now that he had become aware of her feelings for him, things like that were way easier to notice than before. Truth be told, he wasn’t sure if it was worse than the way she was obsessed with him beforehand.

He honestly didn’t know what he was supposed to say or do next, now that he’d gotten her attention. His mouth was clearly moving faster than his brain, for as soon as she said goodbye, an immediate, “Wait —” escaped his lips. Why? He couldn’t tell you. “Uh... Wanna sit?”

This had never happened before. In all the years she’d dated Randy or even the times she’d hooked up with Lucifer, she had never once had cause to worry about the possibility of an accident. Yet here she was, worrying about a late period for the first time in her life. It wasn’t like she and Dewey hadn’t discussed their future together—they had made it through everything life had thrown at them this far and planned to stay by each other’s side…but that didn’t mean they had intentions, nor anything even resembling a contingency plan for marriage or kids. She had caved and told Swizz about her concerns as soon as he questioned her odd behavior, and they’d gone out to get an at-home test from the pharmacy that very night.

There was a part of Tinsley that seriously considered not telling her boyfriend about this until she was sure whether it was an actuality. After all, if the test came back negative, there was no reason to stress Dewey out about this in the first place. All that would accomplish was probably to scare him away, and she heard echoes of voices she couldn’t forget swimming through her head: Randy detailing how she’d ruined his life, Candy warning her that she would eventually and inevitably ruin Dewey’s. The only thing that helped her push those reminders away long enough to call him over and confess was the thought that, if it did turn out to be a positive, he would only be more upset that she hadn’t told him what was going on sooner.

“Hey, we have to talk about something…” she explained as she let him in, leading the way to her bedroom so they could speak in privacy. Even if her parents weren’t home, this felt like something she couldn’t say in a common area.

It had taken a lot for Dewey and Tinsley to get to this point. When they first started dating, it felt like everyone and everything was against them, trying to get in their way and push them apart. They fought hard to stay together, though, and Dewey was continuing to do so to this day. It wasn’t easy to have to push his close friend away recently, but he couldn’t let Candy get between him and Tinsley after everything they’d been through.

The battle for their love was part of what made their relationship so special. In the past, he thought he had to fight for Fawn, even ready to jump through any hoop to get her back after the break up. However, his heartbreak from his ex was only a small bump in the road on his way to the real thing — a love he never actually felt before now. He’d finally told Tinsley he loves her at the ball, and it had brought them even closer.

They had a few conversations about their future before, what they may or may not want in a few years from now, which in turn led to deeper conversations about Dewey’s parents. He couldn’t hide from Tinsley that not having his parents around made him scared to be a parent himself. Although, he also couldn’t deny that if he were to be a parent someday, he’d want to do that with Tinsley. That felt like an idea that was so far away from now, of course, still feeling like a kid himself and not even remotely ready to raise one.

Up to this point, Dewey had no complaints in terms of their relationship, feeling that things were better and stronger between them than ever. That was, until he heard the words we have to talk about something escape Tinsley’s lips. He could easily read Tinsley’s mood, and by the looks of it, this wasn’t something casual that she wanted to discuss. “Okay..” He forced himself to reply, giving her hand a squeeze as he followed his girlfriend to her bedroom. A million things were popping into his head, all worst case scenarios. Had he fucked up? Did he forget something? Was she ending things? “Is everything alright?”

Webby was easily one of the coolest people to adventure with. She was way smarter than Dewey and sometimes even less scared of adventure than he was, which was honestly really impressive! She was the perfect addition to the duck family, and somehow put up with the triplets without many complaints. A fault of both Dewey and Webby, though, was they would seek out adventure when they felt everything was too normal, too boring. It could probably get them hurt or in trouble someday, but that was something the future Dewey and Webby could worry about.

Something Dewey had been doing on the side, a lowkey investigation he’d been keeping to himself, was trying to learn more about the triplets’ mom — the mystery of Della Duck. He really didn’t have much to work from, as Donald and Scrooge hardly said much about her, but that only made him want to look into it even more. Obviously, this wasn’t a one man job though, and there was one person in particular he felt could be a big help to solve this case. Some would think he’d want to involve his brothers in this, but he didn’t want to upset Huey or Louie, or have them tell him to drop it. They were all pretty sensitive on the Della Duck subject, and each of them seemed to have their own ways to deal with not having her around.

“Webby, Webby, Webbyyyy,” Dewey sang, doing a little spin as he ran down the hallway to find her. “What are you doing? Are you busy?” He asked curiously, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Wanted to see if you’re up for a little adventure, a little mystery that the Dewtective has been trying to solve. And before you ask, the only catch is that it is top secret information. What do you say?” @vanderquaack

“No offense, Louie, but I think I’m getting sick of seeing you slumped on the couch,” Dewey admitted, flopping down on the couch beside his brother. Dewey had spent a lot of time on that couch himself while healing from his injuries, and even stayed home for awhile after he was fully healed — but lately he had gotten his adventurous itch back in him. Him and Huey were both used to Louie being the lazy one of the three, but Dewey always tried to get the youngest triplet up and out of the house sometimes, for his own sake and his brothers. “Let’s go do something, dude! We don’t even have to leave the mansion, if you don’t wanna. There’s gotta be something laying around here to get us off our asses.” Realizing Louie hadn’t even looked up from his phone, Dewey gave him a dirty look. “What have you been doing on there all day, anyway?” @louieinchq

It had been too long since Darla had seen the other Duck brother. As her official best friend, Huey was naturally her favorite, of course, but that didn’t mean she cared for Dewey any less. And especially after having spilled everything about her history with Nico to Huey and being not-so-lightly encouraged by him to seek counseling, she was grateful for his care but emotionally worn-out by the company of someone who knew her too well by now. She needed the closeness of another good friend who wasn’t aware of what a mess she had long been hiding inside her head; she needed to get back to a place in life where she felt—and could be—normal. Screaming along to a playlist of their favorite songs was the best way to do that, and she was buzzing with hyper energy when they reached the end of the final track. “Let’s go somewhere,” she said suddenly. “Like an adventure!”

Dewey wasn’t sure why he hadn’t seen Darla around in awhile, but it was nice to finally see her again and to hang out as if no time had passed. Being able to have fun with Darla and let loose without judgement was one of his favorite things about the redhead. And, she made the best playlists out of anyone he knew. “Hell yeah! Let’s dew it! Adventure is my middle name!” He replied excitedly, pumped up from the playlist they just had blasting. “Well, actually, my middle name’s Dingus, but I’ve considered changing it,” he admitted with a smile. “Have a destination in mind? Or should we just go for a drive and see where the roads take us?”
