Darla Davis — Twenty-one — Student — Non-magical
Name: Darla Dawn Davis Nicknames: N/A Age: 21 Height: 5′5″ Sexuality: Straight
Darla was always a normal girl. She had a mouth full of metal as a kid, so she was bullied throughout her earlier years—and while she still wasn’t quite popular in high school, she had some friends and life was easily so much better from then on.
Even though she hasn’t been able to keep a pet of her own alive for long, she loves animals, especially fish and other sea creatures. She decided to pursue a degree in marine biology.
Nico is her obsession. Her life’s purpose is to get him back—at any cost—because they’re meant to be together, but he just doesn’t understand that yet. She’s crazy in love, and determined to prove someday that everything she does in the name of that love is leading to their happily ever after.
Whenever Darla sees Nico getting close with another girl, it sets her off. Even if she’s been patient for a while, waiting for him to come around, the moment there’s a rival for his affections in play they’re considered a threat. And that makes them a target. She’ll start with simple research, stalking their social media profiles, but things escalate before long.
She takes a two-pronged approach, tackling the issue from both angles. If Nico sees something in this girl, Darla needs to emulate that quality—whether that’s dressing alike, or copying mannerisms or interests, she does what she has to in attempt to make herself as appealing as the other option. And then she also has to get rid of the problem, often with online harassment and anonymous threats.
She writes a lot of love poems, letters, and does scrap-booking; she’s also a big fan of music and makes a bunch of playlists/mixtapes which are honestly fire, but Nico may not even bother listening to. It’s okay, the sentiment is still there, and he’ll appreciate all these little things someday.
When it comes to her interactions with anybody else who is not connected to Nico, Darla is a completely normal person. She may be a little annoying or loud sometimes, but in general she’s a fine friend to have and not terribly hard to get along with or unlikable.
