I created an Emotion OC and thats Players love that plays a huge part in demo 5 (ill get to it) and in AU concept for demo 6 (that too)
On the top is it unstable and the bottom is it stable.
LOVE is a strange one, something seprete from Greed,Hate,Solitude and Fear, yet very much connected to them and affected, theyre all connected as feelings are not solid blocks, theyre concepts, theyre Players mind.
Player loves: Their friends from the future, their parents, the world they lived in, the nature, their hobbies, their neighbours etc.
Theyre full of that love. So much so, they had trouble accepting, espescially after CH 3, that they love the past, they love their new friends, the world in it, the memories. They don't wanna get close to it and admit beacuse theyre not staying, they wanna go home...but they cant hide the fact they'll miss them and mourn then when they go back.
So far I have this fun !!AU!! idea that perhaps something wrong went in the labratory with Dr. Sophie and Players feelings regained their strenghts BUT came back fused, wrong, connected, and with it Unstable LOVE was put into the real existence. A emotion shouldn't have mortal shape, its unstable, wriggly, it doesnt know that it wants exactly, as it screams and changes its mind between staying and going away, between giving affections and being afriad to give it, between hiding and being upfront. It's messy.
LOVE uses WE pronouns unless refering to it, the concept of love, itself. Player refers to it as IT/THEY. But the goal is to tame LOVE, as it wants to be heard, confronted and finally have Player admit what they feel as theyve been bottling it up. With that, Player starts to refer to it as part of them.
From ' It hurts me' to "I'm hurting myself"
A part of self acceptence and with it other emotions like Greed, Hatred, Solitude and Fear.
How are these 4 connected?
Well, LOVE can be overwhleming and all consuming, when you love somethin you want all of it, want to know all of somone, keep them for themselves. It's clingy, overbearing, suffocating, grabby, GREEDY.
LOVE can also be afriad, you want to keep your loved ones safe, untouched, in the state that you fell in love with, you best wanna keep them in a cage, safe from any negatives of the world, love can be full of FEAR
LOVE can be directed to people, you wanna be with them forever, you want them to be close to you, within reach. Without them, you feel empty, lonley. Youre caught in a state of SOLITUDE.
LOVE is a strong emotion, very strong one if it wants to be, its obsessive, you can act on insticts, a good motivator, a thing to keep you going in battle as you bleed and go forward, to fight the people you HATE the most, to reach your goal.
In Demo 5 it plays a role, and it sparks a candle in Player, during the trinity fight. Player was very attacthed to Cassie who is young and lost, they want the best for her, she clearly doesnt deserve any of this and is unprepered for the world. She trusts them and she showed kindess, only to be spat at by people she trusted. Player is maybe not a picture perfect loyal knight, as they still follow their mortal code, but they do agree shes a good person and queen, and doesnt deserve any of this. They are protective, they adore her (non creepy way, just to calrify, like a aunt/uncle/parent combo towards her)
Upon hearing she was going towards the windforce and seeing the upcoming danger in the sky, they were on adrenaline and rushing to save her. The trinity made them angry with despite all that knowledge, theyre blind, theyre deaf. Their love for both wordlds and all the people they met, gave them a push to survive all odds during that fight (and frostmaw) and win.
After the events of CH 5 they realized that things are looking up, the end is close, the path seems almost clear..things are...nice, theyre gaining hope.. they are loving...yet they dont confront LOVE. They still dont wanna admit it. But time has passed, they met people, they made a name for themlseves...they cant run away from it.
They will mourn each time, no matter which choice they'll choose.
