August is national peach month, so we’re going back to Pomologie française to post some beautiful peaches. These are from the first tome Pomologie française : recueil des plus beaux fruits cultivés en France. (1846). 

Find two of the four volume set in @biodivlibrary along with other titles illustrated by famed botanist and illustrator Pierre Jean François Turpin, who illustrated many of the plates in Pomologie française.
