Do you know if it’s ever been mentioned whether or not the AkuNeko universe has different languages 🤔 I know the countries have different naming traditions (i.e. Hanamaru and Yuhan’s names being written surname-first) and of course the characters’ names pull from a lot of different real-world cultures/languages, but I’m blanking on whether there are actually different languages or writting systems mentioned
We have absolutely 0 sources to back us up and am going entirely off the top of our head but
iirc there's an ancient script that's found in some ruins, one of them being the angel ruins in the South Country (it was briefly mentioned in the 3rd anniversary methinks?)
In terms of language, based off what we know about the history of the world, it's most likely that all the lands share a common language. Based on how languages naturally develop and form over time, its based largely on proximity and trade. How much interaction people have with others shapes how words are created and by interacting with other lands you start to see convergences of words. Seeing as the heads of the four families are able to converse with each other without the need of a dedicated translator, it seems likely that over time, linguistic shifts have made it so that people mostly speak dialects of the same language, not a entirely separate language itself. The only exceptions I can think of for there being an entirely separate language is maybe the witches village and Shiro's hidden village due to how isolated they are, but Elvira and Shiro can communicate with the rest of the world quite easily... so who knows.
But one thing I can say for sure is that accents and dialects probably do exist to some extent in Akuneko. And it's all thanks to the one character who speaks quite differently from anyone else: Ammon Lead. Ammon's す quirk is something that gives off urban youth energy, usually to carry across the idea that the person talking is young and keeps up with the trends. But in order to have Ammon pick up those speech quirks, there has to be the preconception that the additional す has a deeper meaning beyond just a sound. And for that to happen, different places need to have different vocabulary, tonal inflections etc. for these meanings to take shape. Hence, the world of akuneko probably has accents/dialects that vary across the lands.

The new characters! Whoa!!! As expected of Yuuri-san, Yuhan is just so perfect. His vocal inflections are so casual and kind of cocky. I certainly wasn't expecting a certain someone to be there either but wow! I'm not complaining at all.
I am so enamored with the intelligent angels actually, why are they so camp?
Very interesting though, they updated the chorus choreo of Welcome to the Butler's world. I think I'd need to see the full performance before making any judgements on it but I wonder why such a massive overhaul of such an iconic part
