I’ve been meaning to update my default skinblend for a while now, and I finally got around to it recently! It’s much simpler than my honey skinblend, with darker lips and a bit of noseshine. It’s named after a rose in honor of The Sound and the Fury which I’m reading curently, and I hope you enjoy!

Strangerville Lighting Mod for All Worlds

So @vibrantpixels mentioned wanting Strangerville lighting for all worlds, and seeing that gave me the inspo to get off my butt and toy with lighting mods again!

Details:

Replaces lighting in all worlds including the vacation worlds, but excluding Sylvan Glade, Forgotten Grotto, Sixam, and Strangerville (of course)

Preview pics are completely unedited and show how the lighting looks as-is around early to mid afternoon.

The only thing worth mentioning is the Oasis Springs pic was taken with NoBlu, but honestly the only difference seems to be the shadows are desaturated a slight bit (shadows in this mod already being less blue than usual for EA lighting)

Speaking of which, I recommend both NoBlu and NoGlo for maximum removal of blue and general odd lighting both outside and with your sims themselves

You should be able to use this without Strangerville, so if you like the lighting but aren’t in the position to get the pack you should be good to go provided you game is updated

THIS DOES NOT GO IN YOUR MODS FOLDER. While this is a mod the files should be extracted into your The Sims 4 program files folder instead. Simply extract the files there and choose to replace the existing files when prompted. If you do not get that prompt then instillation has likely gone wrong since this is meant to override the area files in your data and delta folders

Finally, to uninstall simply repair your game. If you have a copy of the game in which you cannot repair it then I suggest making backups of your area files in your data and delta folders in case you wish to uninstall (I can also arrange something if need be, just message me or send an ask and I’ll provide clean backups)

Coming out of art-deco and Bauhaus, we have multiple technology advances that helped shape design of the era outside of the popularity of what is commonly referred to Mid-Century Modern that we enjoy today. With the harnessing of atomic energy and space travel, these influenced aspects of design and gave some out of this world designs. This set is inspired by that period of design, when space age, atomic age, and Mid Century mingled to create an interesting eclectic style that was full of personality.
