How does the proship mentality "censorship and the criticism are always bad and wrong" work with propaganda like "Birth of a nation", neonazi books and works that spread harmful stereotypes of vulnerable groups. "Nah we gotta defend the right of nazis of putting down their fantasies because my ao3 gay porn could be attacked too"?
even nazi books should not be banned. people should read them (if they can) so they can learn how harmful it is. you don’t teach people that some things are bad and harmful by hiding these bad and harmful things from them.
the irony is that it was the nazis who advocated for book banning, which is… what you are doing right now.
Should Nazi books be banned?
Yes, they should be banned
No, they should NOT be banned
If you don’t study history you are doomed to repeat it.
people on here are always saying “we NEED a story where the art of storytelling is abandoned” like ugh literary devices are soo annoying like that wouldn’t happen in real life that only happened to further the story (why is there story in my story) why would orpheus turn around when he was explicitly told not to why would icarus fly so close to the sun romeo&juliet catcher in the rye why are they so earnest why pour your heart and soul into anything why bother why cant all art be quippy logical monotony like my marvel movies there’s a void in my heart bc i refused to fill it and the curtains were blue
“i hate poetry its so pretentious” but then you reblog a quote or a throwaway line and say “why does this go so hard” you are desperate for poetry you are starved for it and u dont even realise you’re hungry
Sometimes a fanon interpretation shared by so many people will gaslight you into thinking YOU're not smart enough to understand it when, in reality, no, the collective of a fandom can indeed just be misinterpreting a character beyond parody. It's not you, it's them
I just remembered the one time I looked at Wattpad again after years of leaving it for AO3 and finding this one Winona and Christian fic where Kim has the patience of a damn saint😭 she was way too cool with all of the bullshit💔 we need messy Kim in these types of fics because there is no way in hell she didn’t have messy ass feelings when THAT happened
things I won’t let ai take away from human writers
em dash
“not x, not y, but z”
short sentence stacking as a stylistic choice
none of these belong to ai. these are all what human writers have been writing since day one, way before ai was invented. ai was trained to mimic how human writers write — so em dash, not x not y but z and short sentence stacking would never have been used by ai at all if ai hadn’t learned and mimicked them from human writers.
no, you are not “fighting against ai” by accusing every work that has em dash, not x not y but z or short sentence stacking in it as ai-generated, you are helping ai harm the writing community by engaging in witch hunt and scaring human writers away from creating/sharing their works for fear of being wrongly accused of using ai.
speculations, accusations and ai witch hunt harm the writing community as much as ai does, if not more.
she could have punted a child like everyone acts like Chappell Roan did and I’d still watch her movies
reblog if you believe fanfics are as valid as books that were published and sold by authors who write as their main careers. I'm trying to prove a point
Reblog if you want more abortion representation in media.
I’m so tired of characters in movies and tv shows changing their minds at an abortion clinic the very last minute because “this baby is precious🥺 this life is innocent🥺”. abort that parasite. abortion is human rights. abortion is healthcare. abortion is good.
I’m barely on TikTok but. Yikes. Be careful y’all
I sometimes lurk on TikTok but without an account. Guess I’m never making one.
I just randomly remembered that there were these videos in 2020-2021 that claimed Kim Walker was bisexual for some reason— and the people who made/commented on the videos kept mentioning this book (???) that claimed she had a lover named Lois (or something similar to that) who she left for some guy named Michael. It was… something.
I don’t think they mentioned what the book was called either lol
WHAT, never heard about that but I have heard of that Michael guy, quite a few websites say she was apparently married to him for five years but according to her obituary she was with a guy called Tad when she died so the Michael timeline therefore doesn't make sense.
However, I mean it would make sense if it was true because her jobs kinda dwindled down in the 90s and we don't really know why as she wasn't diagnosed with her tumour until at least before January 1999 because that's when she had her craniotomy, so if someone found out (and put it in a book) directors at the time would definitely be reluctant to give her jobs.
The wildest thing about the Michael detail is that it’s not the first time someone was claimed to be married to Kim— there was another person who claimed to be married to Kim first and then another actress.
Also, about the book, the things that throw me off about it the most are the fact that the book was never named (even when someone asked on one of the videos— I think that video might still be up, but I’ll have to check later) and the fact that her name is pretty common.
There’s also the possibility that she went to Yale at some point, but I don’t know how true that is either. I think I made a post mentioning it.

i have officially found the truly ancient heathers livejournal pages. god bless.
I think I have actually discovered a cult. Will keep people updated.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate that all of our current JD roleplayers aren't trying to make a weird harem cult and are just fun and full of good vibes.
a harem cult???? wtf would even be in a JD harem cult?
Reblog to claim it
Traci outside of Zeke’s delusions:
Found something new that Kim was in that I do not believe has been shared before, at least not that I've seen!
Turns out she was in a show that aired on FOX called "Circus" that never got off the ground.
According to this post on SubStack, she played the lead female role. I was also able to find the video below from this article.
I haven't watched the full thing yet, but skip to 14:01 for an appearance from her!
Thank you to @mielmilaya for providing me a photo of Kim's resume so that I could hunt this down quickly. Hope you don't mind me tagging you.
The hunt for more of Kim's stuff rages on! 💛
The fact that this was three seconds away from being lost media is actually crazy
