For example: wwx never has any pocket money as a disciple not cause he's careless but cause he spends it all on the orphans around lotus pier (what happens to those kids after the Wen come?), during sunshot he finds a kid in a burnt out village and adopts them cause no one else was gonna do anything, wwx openly takes in a wen infant after wrh defeat at nighters city and actually uses his political clout from the war to establish himself/protect the innocent- maybe argues it as part of his right to spoils or something, or wwx finding a baby/kid on a night hunt as a disciple &/or while studying at gusu, or wwx immediately hoping out of cultivation world and gathering lost babies after his resurrection as a kindness/cover (like how mengshi does in that one fic when she goes on the run from jgs with her son and takes in wwx along the way) etc.

B) Also itmf any fics where wwx actually is a Jiang by blood, and was a legitimate threat to jc's position as heir, and not just a vague one due to rumors/popularity like madam yu believed. Bonus points if it was hidden from wwx, and if wwx wasn't jfm's son, but was a Jiang in another way. Like maybe wei changzei was jfm's recognized illegitimate older half brother or something. And wcz had left cause he didnt really want to lead/threaten fengmian's position. But meanwhile some of the elders are like hmmm - wwx be blood heir from an arguably more direct branch and is the grand disciple of an immortal and like a genius who can actually talk to people, he also treats his people well/is liked and isn't overly stupid about it and/or can never taught easier than jc or whatever. Coukd make for a really good political intrigue.

5. itmf any fic where jfm takes in wwx under alternative motives. Like canon implies jfm took him in cause he was besties with one or both of wwx's parents. But as other fics have pointed out, why did it take him so long to find wwx with all his sect resources? Why did wwx's parent(s) feel the need to leave/not use the Jiang sect, if they are all so close? Yiling is supposed to be on edge of yunmeng territory, why did wwx's parents not choose to leave their kid with their friend on a dangerous night hunt? Were they foolish or something else? (Personally I headcannon they were given bad Intel on the hunt land that's why they died/didnt have a contingency plan for wwx). I've seen a few fics where wwx was some sort of shifter that jfm and Co coveted and lied about their closeness with his parents to manipulate him. But what if wwx was like a Jiang cousin or something and he recruited him at a time where jc seemed sickly/delayed and like he might not make a core, which is why jfm kept tabs on but stalled on collecting wwx until his own heir started to look "defective" or something. Also fics that explore wwx's parents' place in the political sphere, how important/reknowed were they really, before they died? How was their legacy twisted over time compared to the reality? Could they have become major players, if given the time? Did someone nip that in the bud for their own reasons?
