Nominate posts to be reblogged as Untamed Heritage Posts via ask!
Stick to posts more than two years old unless they have an absolutely absurd number of notes.
MDZS and bts also work, no non-show-related posts about the actors.

There are a handful of posts that every time I see them go by my dash, I think "that needs to be memorialized as an Untamed Heritage Post," but there was no untamed heritage post blog (that I could find). So I made one!
Right now I'm setting up the queue to post one new post a day at 8pm EST, and re-reblogging one previous heritage post at 2pm.
(Changing from two a day to one a day, because I have gotten behind.)
Current Queue Length: None, because I got busy and need to refill it!
Right now, I'm just going through my own untamed tag in chronological order to find particularly memorable old posts. Eventually that will run dry, so please nominate posts via ask! What gets posted is up to my discretion, but here are a few guidelines:
First: check that I haven’t already reblogged it! I always put “Untamed Heritage Post” in the reblog comments, so you can filter the notes to just comments and see if it’s already been deemed an UHP.
Posts should be about The Untamed, MDZS, or the actors in some way that is directly related to the show (behind the scenes, publicity tour, etc).
All types of posts are acceptable - humor, meta, art, etc.
Posts should be at least two years old - newer posts may be considered if they have a truly absurd number of notes. Even older posts are more likely to be included if they have at least 2k notes. If you want to nominate an older post with fewer notes, tell me why you think it's a Heritage Post.
In the end, it's mostly down to how memorable the post is. Which I know is subjective, sorry. If you're unsure, feel free to sell me on why this is a Heritage Post.
Posts that are just gifsets of the show are unlikely to be included, unless they add something new and interesting (meta analysis, funny captions, etc) that makes them memorable.
Art should be very distinctive (again, memorable) - just "oh that's a very pretty painting of LWJ" is unlikely to be included even if it has 6k notes, sorry.
You can nominate just an OP or a reblog chain if the OP is CQL-related - make sure you give me the URL of the version you think should be immortalized.
Posts that are just adding an Untamed reference to an unrelated post (such as WWX with a speech bubble so he's saying the thing above him) are unlikely to be included unless they do something really interesting with it, are really funny, and/or I've seen them enough to know that that specific version of that post is, in fact, popular within the fandom.
I probably won't reply to every ask, especially if I'm not including the post. Sorry. I'll try to keep a note up here of how long the current queue is so you know about how long it'll take to see a post.
“Wei WuXian’s mind was in complete shambles. Everything around him had become an ocean of blood and screams, but he couldn’t hear anything any longer. The only thing he could hear was a voice inside him that questioned him over and over again: Didn’t you say you know what you should and shouldn’t do? Didn’t you say you could control it? Didn’t you say that there couldn’t possibly be a problem, that nothing could possibly ever happen?!!”

jiang cheng is like “i would die for my brother” and then sixteen years later rolls up like, “just learned that my brother would die for me? shocked and upset”
I literally think that watching the untamed changes your brain chemistry or something bc how else does it have such a hold on everyone who has seen it. How does it do that to people I've never seen anyone watch it and just like it a normal amount. You watch those 50 episodes and you become a different person
i think the most important thing to take away from three of wwx’s most beloved people in the world being lan wangji wen qing and jiang cheng is that somebody should give wwx a stray cat, the larger and angrier and more horrible the better, that hisses at everyone it meets and does not want to make friends at all. and he would be absolutely infatuated with it and give it a lil kiss on its head every day and everyone would be like. Why.
one day lwj and sizhui come back to cloud recesses and they see this enormous cat lying in the middle of the rabbits apparently too lazy to do anything to the rabbits except occasionally hiss at them. and it is the most phenomenal looking cat, like not ugly but with a Face. it is a mistake to assign human morality to any animal but good lord this might be the exception. this cat’s mere presence will slowly kill you like radiation. this cat is not a place of honour. and while lwj and sizhui are just standing there bewildered by this dreadful cat, wwx darts out of the jingshi and is like “THERE you are” and with some conflict struggle and difficulty gathers these two full armfuls of cat up
“wei ying,” says lwj, in a slightly strangled voice
and wwx BEAMS at him and lwj recognises with despair that wwx is so happy about this cat and lwj is so weak for his happiness that it is going to be living here for the rest of its life. or lwj’s life, he’s not convinced right now that this cat can die, or surely some moral balance in the universe would have done something about that already. and wwx goes off on this entire spiel about this cat and where he found it and how it’s so much more tame already and lan zhan is going to Love it. and sizhui is already cracking up at the distraught look on lwj’s face until wwx mentions that “and sizhui can look after it while we’re away!” and now lwj and sizhui are matching uppercase and lowercase distraught
an underused source of comedy in post-series fics is the fact that wei wuxian is now Very Technically jin guangshan’s bastard son, and could be in line for jin sect leadership if him or jin ling ever wanted to acknowledge him that way.
theres so very many loopholes he could exploit with this knowledge. its a beautiful day in lanling, people are bothering your beloved nephew who’s doing his best, and you are a horrible necromancer stuck in the body of the old sect leader’s son, so youre going to threaten everyone with the possibility of YOU being in charge if jin ling gets overwhelmed by their petty complaints
the sheer comedy potential of post-res wwx having equal if not higher chance of being jin sect heir as jiang sect heir where is the bitter silent struggle between jiang cheng and jin ling to lay claim to the wayward wei wuxian through hitherto untried feats …of sect politicking jin ling’s mostly in it to get his uncle to outwardly acknowledge he wants wwx in his life again jingyi is backing him because he thinks it’s hilarious sizhui just wants everyone to give wei-qianbei a break battle lines are drawn amongst the juniors. it’s war. wwx is blithely and blindingly oblivious to the entire thing (via @impossibletruths)
lan xichen was really like *traumadumps the weirdest fucking story you’ve ever heard* *flute solo* “do you know my brother is in love with you?” at like 2am in the span of five minutes and no one stopped him
