Rome nodded his head in agreement, his sister did certainly always seem far more stressed than he was. The only thing that created his stress was a young vampire girl who refused to show how much she loved him, because she did love him and Rome was positive of as much.
His following comment did ring with a note of familiarity, mostly from Marlena speaking since Rome was not one for television, and he mimicked them in his head before feeling the slap on his shoulder. Rome didnât move when it hit but it was evident he felt the strength in the manâs action. He was by no means human and that was clear to Rome. âSounds wonderful.â
Once more Rome got into his car, attempting to start the vehicle the moment his present companion indicated for him to. For a moment he suspected it might not start but soon enough the engine roared to life and Rome released the pressure on the key. âThank you,â Rome insisted, stepping out of his car again and approaching the man. âIâm guessing I still need her checked, yes?â
Something about how the man reacted caught his attention most humans would have been somewhat but the man didnât even flinch. He wasnât sure what the man was but he wasnât human. Some shifter could tell what someone was by smelling them but Miguel didnât have that gift. He wish he could it would be easier to tell who were friends and who were foe. âYeah honestly I think you should get fully checked out. It might be the battery but it might be something else I really gotta get under to sea whatâs going on. He replied. âYou familiar with area?â He asked. âCause my shop ainât too far, you want to follow?â He asked.Â
