A what-if backstory for Pan!Martyn on how he met Artemis for the 1st time
(I suddenly came up with this 3 days ago the moment Pan!Martyn and Pan!Cleo's character designs were revealed)
*record scratch* *freeze frame* Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got here.
Martyn loves hunting, but for some reason no one wants to hunt with him or being in the same vicinity as him in general. He heard numerous stories about a goddess of hunt while wandering aimlessly or whenever he's done hunting. Not knowing what that means but hearing her being good with it is enough to pique his interest, he ventures into the forest where she's rumored to visit from time to time, wanting to see her skills [1].
After wandering around the forest for weeks, he eventually stumbles upon a beautiful young woman perching on a tree, shooting a bow with great accuracy and shot what he assumes to be a deer that's merely a dot in the distance. He gapes, impressed. Another one is spotted nearer their spot this time and she readies to shoot another arrow, but Martyn's arrow lands on the animal's neck first.
They both stare at each other in silence before darting deeper into the wilderness, their eyes ablaze with competition. With similar capabilities, they're evenly matched until the sun starts to set, making it more difficult for Martyn to see in the dark while she is somehow effortlessly traversing through the terrain, a silent agreement that the last shot will end the competition once and for all.
Panicked, Martyn wracks his brain for ideas, remembering of rumors while traveling about certain individuals planning on how to find and approach the huntress like he did. With that in mind, he catches the woman's attention and executes his plan.

extra notes that's supposed to be the ending of this what if backstory but had to exclude since POW Creations revealed in the trailer that Pan SMP is basically Life Series x Origins SMP:
Martyn is only spared when Artemis discovered he's been "no thoughts head empty" when he ran his mouth earlier, who's only interested in nothing but hunting, so she forgives him. Inspired by Bouphagos when it was mentioned Artemis read his mind.

*checks at date since I last draw MCYT stuff* uuuuuuuuuhh.........
that doesn't matter, right??? what matters is Vampires SMP brought me back to MCYT brainrot and watched Martyn's POV right before midterms when I should be studying... it was totally worth it tho since *now* I get to experience Pantheon SMP live :D
