this is not directed at any particular person or people it's just a trend i've noticed that really irks me

spoiler etiquette has gone down the toilet, and it is NONEXISTENT in the motm fandom

people will post panels without spoiler warnings all over tumblr and tiktok, and maybe other sites too! idk these are my main socials, but still. it starts SECONDS after the updates start

i love being part of an active community, but guys! NOT EVERYONE CAN READ THEM IMMEDIATELY!!!

once an update happened during a week where i was having gnarly headaches and just didn't have the energy to sit down and read it, and avoiding spoilers was a NIGHTMARE until i was able to read it

i can't imagine how bad it is for bigger creators too, considering i got an ask or two DURING the update that contained panels from that update! again, not an attack on anyone, but that would've been a major spoiler if i didn't have alerts on, hadn't happened to see it, AND have to energy to keep up AS it was updating - which is a lot of ifs to bank on!!!

i know we're probably still a ways away from the next update, but just. PLEASE. try to be respectful of others. people have any number of reasons to not have read the updates yet (jobs, school, medical reasons, mental health reasons, even just plain not wanting to yet) and it's unfair that they be forced to walk on eggshells to avoid spoilers

just add warnings. a few seconds at the start of a video or putting things under a cut isn't much work to show another person kindness

*whispers* Dandy and Cuphead don't work out so they break up, but now they have to deal with having to tell Blossom/ custody because Cuphead might have left her father but he isn't leaving her. She is his kid as much as she is Dandy's and he will fight to still see her if he has to.

plus, dandy has already proven he's mature enough to value happy memories with someone, and i think their relationship and reasoning blossom would give cuphead the growth he'd need to do the same. the two are still friends - if theyre divorced, they're truly happily divorced (AND ILL ACCEPT NOTHING LESS BC FUCK YOU THIS IS MY WORLD)

they still coparent. hell, maybe they split bc they had different ideas of what blossom needed, but that gave way for a good compromise? like, she stays with cuphead outside of gardenview and goes to school and comes to visit gardenview on holidays and stuff and communicates w dandy via letters/calls 💞

im imagining it's like this one story of divorced parents i heard once where every time the kid had an event the other parent would come sleep on the couch so they could be there and it wasn't a thing. it was just expected. they aren't an item anymore, but they're still coparenting

blossom was initially terrified she'd be losing her new family, but they made sure to be VERY clear she wasn't losing anyone. they all loved her, they weren't going anywhere. she had a hand in the choices at the end of the day (since i imagine she's older around this point - maybeeeee thirteen?)

it killed her to leave her dad gardenview behind, but she's always wanted to see the world. she wasn't giving up the chance

I made an Au where every main has an evil counterpart that actually represents a virtue, unlike the main, which represents a sin

I thought itd be funny if the villains were the ones who could grow after gardenveiw shutting down and understand their faults. Or just be a generally better than their show counterpart

For ex:

Sprout: Envy, Resentment or jealousy toward others’ success or advantages.

Villian counterpart: Kindness, celebrating others’ successes and fostering goodwill.

Orrrr

Astro: Laziness, neglect of responsibilities, or lack of motivation.

Villian counterpart: Diligence, persistence and hard work.

I also already have their designs, sprout's rival is an asparagus, Astro's is a sun, and dandy's is a rose. Cause dandelions are weeds not flowers, so I thought it would be cool if his rival was a real flower. Yeah? No? okay.

Im still super iffy about what Shelly's would be, cause i dont know what the hell the opposite of a fossil is. But I was thinking of making her rival a man made model, or like 3d model of a fossil. Cause fossils are made through millions and millions of years by a natural process and 3d models can be made in a matter of minutes

as for shelly's opposite, i think something man-made is smart. i was initially thinking an octopus or smth since i think smth like that is what's inside an (whatever she actually is i can't fucking spell it the tucker with the tentacles)

however, the idea of something quick-made made with products which eat up fossil fuels is very smart! i like that

for vee... maybe some outdated technology? or maybe she's broken down, hasn't been fixed in good knows how long

Yes she heavily i spired by miss information from gameoverse. In the show she was meant to be a chef to contradict sprout being a baker.

Sprout is canonically better at cooking than baking, and shes better at baking than cooking. Quite the pair 👀👀👀

Propagate is basically, instead of directly healing a toon, she creates a small barrier of vines that keeps only ONE toon safe from any attack. Times up is her passive. When shes in the vicinity of a toon whos on cooldown, she gives them the buff 'stressed' which makes their cooldown go down way faster.

Like how a chef on a show has the timer and is always shouting how much time you have left

I didn't wanna make her JUST the opposite of sprout, I wanted it to be like a cooki run kingdom situation where they actively depend on each other despite thinking they dont because of their roles

Sprout sees Vera as somone who doesn't care about anyone. He thinks she selfish and self obsessed and doesn't understand that toons NEED to be taken care of and hovered around. He thinks of himself as this care giver that ever toon constantly depends on

Vera on the other hand sees sprout as over bearing, and kind of a helicopter parent. Although she sees that toons suffer and go through things, she'd never give them fake reassurance or act a certain way to make them feel better. Kindness is doing whats best even if it hurts. Vera can do that, sprout cant.

Fern is her sidekick, they all get one. When I made her I looked up things that go with asparagus and feta came up first sooooo 😭

Shes cute. Shes not meant to contradict cosmo in anyway.

it's not that i don't think sprout doesn't care, he just. spends so much time looking for problems that he doesn't see them when they're actually there, because he cares more about being needed, showing he's a good person

vera is better at caring for people because she doesn't have anything to prove

as for fern: may i be so bold as to offer up the name flora? it sounds closer to feta and keeps the plant theme if you wanted that to connect her to vera

i also found the name freya while i was looking which i also thought was pretty
