I'm gonna be honest i really REALLY hate when people misinterpret the YGO/AB episodes just to say that Kyle doesn't care about Stan as much as Cartman, it feels like one ship is being put down in a deliberate bad faith way to put the other on a pedestral. Both épisodes are about how mental health affect your relationship, even with those you love the most.
Kyle LITTERALY SAYS IN THE EPISODE that he keeps trying to help and reach out to him even though Stan was rejecting him, up until he started to feel miserable himself. He says right to the camera that he's forcing himself to be positive, and he's joining Cartman's business to try to move on from his relationship with Stan. The ep shows that he has a hard time moving past it too when he goes back to him when he hears "I love you" even tho he was insulted right before. And he goes back to Stan right after this event even tho the relationship is strained because, again, he cares a lot about his SBF!
Once again you don't have to lie about one relationship to boast out your favorite duo. I'd appreciate if you'd stop comparing the two in bad faith
There is absolutely no bad faith in anything I post. I'm sorry that you misinterpreted it in that way. I legit just opened Tumblr after many days of not being online, and, at seeing your message, I went back to re-read the posts you could be referring to (I don't recall every post or anon that I've reaponded to).
At doing that, what I found is that all of them have anons and/or me just overhyping and exaggerating HCs that take origin/motivation/inspirations from YGO and AB-- they even have us saying things like: "Im so delulu lol" and "/Delusional" which fully indicates the unseriousness of them.
I'm someone who adores Kyle and Stan's relationship and am a big multishipper who ships Style and Kyman, so I wouldn't put down any relationships to bring others up-- especially not theirs. I enjoy each one for what it is and make+participate in HCs that can be and normally are exaggerated and/or overhyped.
Even in my responses, I make some simple clarifications on Stan and Kyle's bond/friendship, but its simply just not the focual point of the Kyman posts, which was always: "Kyle cares about and considers Cartman more than we'd think" so there's no point in considering it further.
I could understand why you'd be confused, since there's a blatant use of Stan and Kyle's bond within the posts to put an emphasis on how close Kyle and Stan are- Which, then, adds power to Kyle's feelings for Cartman in the Kyman HC. Its not literally saying or even acting like Kyle dgaf about Stan. He very obviously does, which is the point of mentioning said bond in the first place.
What you're reading into as "bad faith" is actually people taking small tidbits of episodes and exaggerating them to fuel their ship HCs.
While, this doesnt need to and likely won't satisfy or calm your irritation, it also doesn't change the fact that these posts weren't in bad faith and were as serious as someone posting "Kyman is canon!" "Style is canon!" "Buttman is canon!" Etc.
Meaning: No one actually believes this to be some factual take. We all know its not really true and fans are just exaggerating in their hype.
Its exaggerated for the sake of having fun. No one is denying Stan and Kyle's bond, no one is putting down Style to bring up Kyman, and no one is even doing an actual analysis on these episodes either.
Whats is being done in them is setting a line between platonic and romantic love for Kyle specifically. Hence my most recent response to an anon having been: "Kyle would prefer to not live without Stan, but can. While Kyle can't live without Cartman" its not undermining Kyle and Stan's relationship its setting that clear line between platonic and romantic love- In a KYMAN post, where Stan and Kyle's relationship will be viewed in a platonic light.
I apologize if that wasn't clear before. These, again, are unserious and just fans HCing. Its never gonna be very coherent, but I hope that you're at least now able to understand that there is no bad faith here at least from my end since I can't speak for others and know that every message that I got, that I responded to, didn't strike me as serious or in bad faith either. I delete the ones that I consider are. But I'm not perfect so I can be wrong about some of them.
