They only love you. If you especially have a personality disorder (bpd, npd, hpd, etc), they will do everything they can to show you they only love you. They know you deal with a lot of worry about them, fearing everyday that they'll leave you.
No matter how many times they've mentioned said canon character in their source, they'll always tell you they're forced to say that by the creators and they never truly mean it. Youre their only love, their love of their life. nothing will change their mind on that.

It only shows how much you love them and they will only do the same no matter how times they need too for you to feel safe and loved.
You will always be their first choice, no matter how long you've been together. Youve always been there and they've always been there for you even before said shitty canon character was in their life. And thats at least what they want you to remember. They've always loved you even before them and they will always love you.
They'll always be there for you whenever you're paranoid about them betraying, cheating on you, they will never stop reassuring you and giving you the paitence and love you deserve. You will always be very easy to love for them because they know you never wanted this and you make them feel loved and safe, you're their whole world.
