“He did. I still don’t know his reasoning to this day. I used to think that it was because he still held some affection in his heart towards me. He was there when my father wasn’t. But then I learned how cruel he truly was, which was only amplified by him becoming a vampire. I’m sure there was some ulterior motive behind him saving me,” she stated. “It had nothing to do with Esther, actually. After they became vampires, my mother and I fled to France, with my father. We were at a dance one night and got attacked. I don’t know by who or what.. Mikael happened to run across me and turn me,” she commented. “Then started hunting me after I left and tried to sabotage his means of finding his children,” 

Kassia’s smile only brightened as she listened to Hayley’s words of how Elijah was around Hope. “I knew he would be. He showed that same tenderness with the others, when they were babies,” she smiled fondly at the memories. “Minus the baby swings of course,” she couldn’t help but laugh.

“I’m very sorry. I know how important it is to have father in your life and how the absence can effect somebody.” Kassia had a father figure in her life, even if it was a short time. Making her more lucky then Hayley. Although Mikael did try to kill her, ruining their father and daughter relationship. “were you close to your mom?” The absence of a mother figure used to cause the hybrid sadness but recently not anymore. The time she spent with Hope maid up for all the time she didn’t get to spend with her mom. “Have any favorite memories?” 

Pure happiness always came to Hayley when she either talked about Hope or Elijah, the two people she loved most in the world. “I think it would be fair to compare him to supper nanny. Although I think he puts her to shame.”

Kassia gave a shrug. “It’s not as if he didn’t want us to come with him. My mother just decided against it,” she commented. “He wrote letters, but it was as if I was writing to a stranger,” she mused. “My mother and I were pretty close I suppose. She and Esther taught me a lot about healing herbs and whatnot,” she said. At the question of her favorite memories of her mother, Kassia had to think. A thousand years worth of memories was a hell of a lot. A light smile crossed her features. “We made flower crowns quite a bit when I was young,” she commented. “Which was always fun,”

Kassia laughed at her comment before smiling brightly. “I have no doubt he puts super nanny to shame. I mean, super nanny doesn’t have super speed or strength,” she commented. “Nor does she have the ability to love a child literally for eternity,” she smirked lightly.

Blowing on her coffee, Hayley holds the cup to her lips and sips it gingerly. Being careful to not burn her lips. “That was a smart choice on your mom’s decision. She probably didn’t want you around him once he went crazy. He kept in touch with you?” Hayley never guessed in a million years that “the destroyer” would be one to write letters. “He must have loved you a lot. Even thought you were one of his blood. It’s actually kind sweet in a creepy way if you think.” The act may have been harmless, but Hayley couldn’t help but think it was his way of tracking her. The brunette couldn’t help but smile at Kassia’s memory. “Out of real flower and vines I imagine. I hope that’s something I can do with Hope someday.

“I would love to see Super Nanny pick up three screaming kids at once. If she could do it then just maybe she’s better. Plus Elijah is a free babysitter. Super Nanny probably charges a unfortunate, which Klaus could afford easily.

“Oh. Heaven’s no. We didn’t keep in touch with Mikael, or any of them, after they became vampires. My true father, he’s the one that I stayed in contact with. In France. Though even without keeping in touch Mikael was able to find me in my father’s manor. I suppose I should have thanked him for technically saving my life, but I didn’t,” she mused. “That tends to happen when you’re a homicidal maniac though,” she continued. The redhead nodded when Hayley mentioned that they no doubt made them from love vines and flowers. “Yes. That was the only way they existed in the 10th or 11th century,” she said. Then she smiled. :”I’m sure you will and that they’ll be beautiful,”

Kassia laughed again at her comments. “That would be quite the task for a human,” she commented. “Hey, nothing wrong with a free babysitter. Though I have to admit, it’s very...strange, to try and picture Elijah changing a diaper,”
