As the young woman stood there, Klaus could not help but see the small toddler whose shakily stepped along the cobblestone flooring of their local manor. He could not help but to see the little girl with an aspiration for art and a desire to simply be with her whole family. Even now, as the young woman Hope had grown into, he could notice the signs of maturity that graced the features of the young teenager she had been when last they were able to be a family together.
He stared at her for a moment and swallowed before offering the softest of smiles. “I am sorry that it took me so long to come back to you then, my littlest wolf.” He offered. In an instant, Klaus was closing the distance between them with uncertain steps - cautious where or not this was truly happening or there was some other force at work. His mind blocked out the unfamiliar buildings he could see jutting out here and there and tunneled in on his daughter. As the distance becoming a handful of feet and then only a small number of inches between them, the hybrid blinked back growing moisture in his eyes. “It would seem that I am doomed to miss every milestone in your life, dear Hope. You’ve grown up.” He offered with a small chuckling sound. “With such beauty befitting a wolf princess.” He added. Not another word was spoken as he moved to embrace the woman.

Hope stood there for what felt like ages as her father looked at her with an expression she couldn’t really read, was he cross with her? Did he realize that she and the others had brought him back? Or maybe he was under the impression she had died. When the smile finally reached his face Hope could finally let out a breath and smile back with tears in her eyes, “Its okay, dad.” Was the only thing she was about to choke out before he had closed the gap between them and took her in his arms.
The young wolf wrapped her arms around him tightly and let out a small sob at the sensation of her father’s comforting and protective embrace being around her again after what felt like so long of being alone. She shakes her head at his words, “You’re not anymore, you’re home.” She sniffles, he was no longer going anywhere, there was no white oak anymore, there was nothing that could easily take her father from her and once she found her mother, she’d ensure there was nothing that could take her from Hope again either. “Your not mad?” She had taken him away from death and maybe after a thousand years he was glad to be at rest or perhaps the necromancer wasn’t lying to her and her father wasn’t ever at rest because she couldn’t seem to find her own inner peace.
