shouto and izuku being a few months into their relationship and not having really told anyone yet because 1. scary and 2. they lowkey like sneaking around
so one night they're making tea bc they can't sleep and shouto turns to the side and sees izuku's face as he's fiddling with the teabags, all tired eyes and a soft smile, and he's so full of something he's not brave enough to name yet - he's at least brave enough to grip izuku's wrist gently and kiss his confused pout off his lips
somehow they end up on the couch, with izuku's knees bracketing shouto's thighs and they're smiling so wide because it's three am and they're just so happy
shouto sneaks his right hand under izuku's shirt and izuku is gasping, giggling while he pulls at his hair with a pout, grumbling you ass, it's cold, and shouto can't stop smiling because izuku looks so relaxed, looking at him with that look he knows izuku only gets when they're together (he's sure nobody else gets to see it, he has his own izuku look after all), and his thumbs are moving on his own on izuku's cheeks, tracing the path from one freckle to another, and-
izuku startles so much at the unimpressed voice coming from the hallway that he flinches right off his lap and onto the floor.
shinsou is leaning on the wall, arms crossed over his chest and an amused smile on his face.
"you're supposed to be asleep."
izuku rolls his eyes and stands up, walking into the kitchen with shouto following suit. "so are you. we were making tea." he mutters. shinsou simply snorts.
"is that what you kids call it these days?"
even in the darkness of the room shouto can see izuku's blush, and he hoists himself up on the counter with a small smile. "izuku is very distracting." he deserves the swat to the head he gets, no doubt of it.
"I suppose congratulations are in place at this point."
izuku is muttering an embarrassed thanks when shouto speaks. "aizawa said the exact same thing."
"what? shouto, aizawa sensei knows?" izuku says, horrified. shouto nods.
"he caught me in the hallway two weeks ago when I was leaving your room. he said exactly that- shinsou, are you sure you're not related?"
shinsou simply shakes his head with a soft laugh and turns back. "I'd get mad, but you two just won me a shit ton of money, and I really can't wait for bakugou to wake up and royally lose."
they speak simultaneously.
