hey friends, anyone with backpacking experience got any tips of what to pack/what not to pack??

Plenty of videos on YouTube. Lightweight tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, mini stove, spork, knife, water filter, platypus bag, magnesium fire starter, maybe a bear canister, etc..

Table and bench are near completion. I just need to buy a special tool to insert some zinc rivets on the base of the bench so that I can get the feet in, give the wood a few more coats of tung oil, and it will be done soon!

Grinding after welding. I selected these rods with slightly rounded edges for Meetha so her kids won't run into any sharp corners. ;)
