Beauty of Hanbok collection - @KoreanBilly I was born in the UK & have an interest in Korean culture whilst he was born in Korea but loves British culture. He taught me more about towns & cities in the United Kingdom than any one else! Billy also works with organizations that bridge the cultures together through language interpretation or hosting classes. In exchange of me learning about the own country I was born in, I’ve shown him the world of Hanbok & it’s diverse designers and this has even given me the opportunity to style him for some events in modern Hanbok! This friendship has taught us the beauty of both British and Korean cultures! And that’s why I painted him. I honestly would never have thought about visiting Liverpool if it wasn’t for him and his close ties with it! I’ve since fallen in love with that place! Which is why I painted the Liver building. (I also love the stories of Bella and Bertie!) Art Exhibition showing the Beauty of Hanbok will be held at Indra studios October 24-26 2025!

Beauty Of Hanbok collection - I met dear @marron_pipa a few years ago & he welcomed me with open arms, we met in a Jongno festival through @guiroe_yeoback . Sometimes you may see me wearing a knotted tassel accessory known as Norigae, Marron is not just a talented Pipa player but also a master at knotting. He has brought norigae into the modern world with his designs and even designed one for me inspires by the Filipino flag to celebrate my identity! Thank you for being so kind hearted !

Beauty of Hanbok collection - Drag Queen artist @hyang_dan_mama takes Hanbok to the next level with their creativity! I admire Dan because Korea can be very conservative but they boldly take their artistry to the public without fear. Dan told me the difficulties they experienced when starting their creative journey and I am so proud that they’re using art and fashion to break the boundaries! Beauty of Hanbok collection - I met the King of Hanbok @sadaham_kym a few years ago through a Hanbok event @sheen_seoul was a part of, I was star struck because when I was looking for inspiration on what I should show the designer what my first Hanbok would look like, I had seen so many photos of him online. So it is such an honour to know him now and to have his permission to paint him. Sadaham is very active in the Hanbok community in Korea and has hosted many traditional events with @hanbok_c so watch out for events during traditional Holidays! Beauty of Hanbok collection – I met designer @ILoveSonghwa 누나 in 2020, thanks to her I was introduced into the world of Hanbok and I want to honour this by painting her! She designed my first traditional Hanbok and later would help my dreams come true by fusing my Filipino heritage within Hanbok by using Filipino fabrics such as Piña and Hablon woven in Panay. Hanbok design has been in her family for generations and you can see how both her traditional and modern Hanbok holds so much elegance and rich in culture. I wanted to portray her in her shop surrounded by all her original designs, my paintings do not do the clothing enough justice and must be seen in person! South Korea feels like a second home because of @ilovesonghwa , find her store in Insadong~
