could you perhaps please make a tutorial(s) on how you add the border to the pictures ?

hello, darling! Sure I can. This is how I add them to my icons, perhaps other roleplayers make them in an easier way, but anyway… I will do my best to give you a decent explanation on how I add borders to my icons. I also took some printscreens to help you! Should you have any other question, please don’t hesitate to message me!

Well, first you should have your icon image opened. Then, make a new file (ctrl+N) with the same size as your icon image (mine are 100x100px), with a transparent background. ( x )

Once that is done, you have to select the Rectangle Tool (you can simply press ‘U’ on the keyboard) and make a square rectangle thing (so make sure that width and height measures are the exact same!!). ( x )

This is how it should look like. ( x )

Now you should double click the layer or click ‘fx’ on the bottom right. Then, select ‘stroke’, that’s the border. Choose the desired size (mine are always 1px) and color (mine are white, #ffffff). Once you’re done, just click ‘ok’. ( x )

Make the ‘fill’ thing 0%. ( x )

Click ctrl+S or go to File: Save and save the image as a PNG file. ( x )

Once this is done, select the Move Tool (ctrl+V) and drag the square thing to your icon image. ( x ) Then, all you need to do is position it as you wish! ( x )

Oh! And I forgot to mention before that you can have a dotted or a dashed border, too! I don’t add them to my icons, but they look super cute. ( x )
