You donāt have to answer this but I think Damon is a little shit & loves to mess with Alaric every chance he gets including making him late for work Every. Single. Day. by pouting and making him stay in bed for an extra forty minutes to snuggle.
(I like the idea of Alaric having to out smart Damonās domestic thwarting ->) Alaric tricks him by setting his alarm earlier so they can snuggle & he can leave on time,,,
( I hope you are just as entertained by the idea of Damon being evil and over time dulling down into domestic things like inconveniencing his spouse with cuddles and flirting as I am š )
