Vocal Android AU Intro + Masterlist

Hello, friends :> for the sake of organization, I'm remaking my masterlist post into something more of like...a quick guide?? primer?? idk. for my Vocaloid AU, Vocal Android! If you already follow this blog, thanks for always being here and supporting me ;v; if you're new, welcome and thanks for taking interest in this silly thing I got going.

So! What is this AU? The Vocal Android universe is a fan project/fan universe created by me, Mochagatari aka Mikunology, revolving around the characters for the VOCALOID vocal synth program and its affiliates (UTAU, SynthV, CeVIO, etc.). I’ve been working on this project for almost as long as I’ve been into VOCALOID (sooo...about a decade. somehow.), and it’s probably my favorite thing to work on alongside my original work. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy working on and talking about it!

This post will function as both a brief intro to the AU and as a masterlist of important or particularly notable posts about it. I highly recommend reading before sending asks :> Go under the cut to begin!

I respect the hell out of your AU soooo much dude as someone who’s been following you + it for some years now. The early 00s superhero cartoon vibes are so cute and I love how you’ve stuck to the original concept during all the years. It’s so fun

I kind of did in the past but I don't really like it now so I wanted to change it....the problem is I don't know what to X'D

long ago I reblogged this one post talking about the idea of there being people in superhero settings who don't really keep up with superheroes and thus hardly know/care when they see them in public

when I reblogged that post I talked about VA Mafuyu in the tags (because I thought the idea of the rest of Niigo (especially mizuena) hearing she literally goes to school with those super robots people have been talking about online and flipping out while she's pretty indifferent)

but thinking about it now I realize this also applies to like. everyone in VA!VBS (especially Akito)

Do the Meikas have a place in the VA lore?

As of current, no :'D I haven't found any idea of what to do with them that I'm satisfied with yet

#all I do is say funny shit and draw cartoons and yet people have so many good things to say #I majorly appreciate it ;v; I will keep working hard!#side note hopefully. eventually this blog will also have original music on it #I've been practicing my composing these days #god. can you imagine an original vocal android AU song that'd be hilarious

Something I've been thinking about recently is this hc a friend and I came up with about how even though VA!MYK-IV doesn't remember what happened to him to make him a cyborg, he's developed a terrible fear of needles

He's normally pretty unflappable given his usual adrenaline-obsessed personality, but just the suggestion of a medical needle coming towards him puts a really scary look on his face.
