Arsene chuckled to himself. “Aside from the tournaments and a rather entertaining store incident? I would say I am quite out of trouble.”

Then he lifted a small child with brown hair and reddish eyes on to his shoulder. “On the contrary, I have taken it upon myself to adopt a little bundle of joy and chaos! She will make one of the greatest little ladies to grace the lands!”

“Oh? Is that so? My, it seems I have missed a great deal in my absence. “ Milady snapped her elequent feathered fan closed as she examined the child.

“If you don’t mind my asking, where did you find her? Was..there a particular reason why you took her under your wings?”

“My my..aren’t you a sight for sore eyes? It feels like an eternity since I laid my eyes on you, Arsene. I trust you haven’t been causing too much trouble since I’ve been away?”

“I have, actually. But I tend to stay quiet about it. Mainly because I feel like bringing it up out of nowhere would make things awkward.” Joker replied, letting out a sigh of his own.

“I’ll do that. And whatever the reason is, I’m going to try and be the most understanding love I can be. She’ll always have my support.”

It was then her turn to bow, accompanied by a low curtsy. “You have my thanks. I am hoping that once you have that conversation with her, she will cease her doubts about your relationship with her. For I can tell that she holds back on occasion when she is alone with you. Break that wall of doubt and you will gain undying love and support from Haru.”

“Condition? She hasn’t mentioned anything. Are you saying that she can’t drink?” He was in disbelief. “Well, then I’ll substitute it for whatever she would like instead. Thank you for telling me. I never would’ve known otherwise.” He bowed his head in a grateful manner.

The corner of her lips curved as she dared to press on his knowledge. How much about her Princess did her truly understand?

“Haven’t you ever wondered why she questions if she is graceful or why she prefers to wear clothing that’s not exactly her perfect size?”

A sigh slips from the spy as she shakes her head, “Tis a shame she places so much doubt in such. Might I suggest that you bright up the topic with what she drinks during special occasions? That should surely bring the conversation up. It is a sensitive topic..so I request that you show her support when she explains.”

“That doesn’t surprise me. Arsene is the same way with me. If any harm, physical or otherwise were to come to me, he tear whoever did it apart. Don’t underestimate him.”

He felt her eyes on him, almost as if she was boring a hole through his body. “Two weeks?” A brow rose above his mask before an amused grin came across his face. “I’m going to take her to the nicest restaurant I can, buy her a bottle of red wine and let her enjoy herself without the weight of her work on her shoulders. And I already have a gift, but I can’t tell you, because you might tell Haru.”

She held a hand out to him, “There is but one issue with your plans. Ah -- my apologies. Haru hasn’t told you, has she? About her condition? If not..then I would approach her about it. For unless you wish to poison my Princess, you may want to forego the wine.”

“I treat her how she should’ve been treated. Her father, her betrothed, both of them seemed to not really care for her.”

Joker was undaunted by the threat of the Persona. “I respect your power and your abilities, Milady, but don’t think of me as unable to fend for myself. Besides, you have nothing to worry about. I wouldn’t dare hurt Haru in anyway. She means so much to me.”

“Good.” A soft chuckle would slip from the French spy as she snapped her fan closed, “Then I have nothing to worry about indeed. I will, however, be keeping a close eye on your actions though. There is only so much restraint I can instill within my dear Princess.”

She tilts her head slightly, as if she were silently assessing his figure,”You are close to her, yes? Might I inquire what you plan on doing with her in two weeks?” Milady hoped that he remembered Haru’s birthday was right around the corner and not just any birthday -- it was her 21st birthday. A special occasion for any young adult.

“You seem to be growing quite close with my darling Princess. Never have I seen her flourish as she does now in your care.”

A soft chuckle slips from Milady’s lips as her feathered fan opens whilst she looks to him through her hooded golden hues, “But if you ever break her heart, I’ll be sure to become your worst nightmare for years to come.”

Her words were uttered in a soft tone, yet held a dark warning for the Trickster.

As Haru rested on her couch from a long day, a ghostly figure of a French noble woman appeared beside the young heiress. She looked between Haru and the young man, who was not far, scrolling through his musical device.

“You are a strange one. I’ll admit that. Yet..you remind me of a man I once knew. Careful where you tred. That kindness of yours may be your undoing darling.”

“Haru..” she closes her fan and glides to her user’s side, lightly pressing the edge of her fan under Haru’s chin, “..I understand that you are nervous but just know one thing. Despite the heartache and the closed doors that are slamed in your face, you are a beauitful young lady. Nothing is wrong with you and when a series of doors close, a window always opens.This is not the end of the line for you.So keep your chin up, my darling Princess.We have been through worse. No reason why we can’t keep on fighting to be better...to fight for someone better. I have faith in you.”

Milady presses a soft kiss on Haru’s forehead before fading to allow Haru to get back to work.

Milady gave a side glance to the arrangement on the table before looking back to her persona partner, “ A verbal one only I hope. Last I knew poison was still considered murder.” She chuckled behind her fan, “Ah.. that brings me back to my golden days. Pity you can’t do what I did back then. It would be quite frowned upon.”

“A knot in your stomach?” Milady opened her fan as she allowed her ghostly figure to lean against a chair, “Had I known better, that sounds an awful like jealousy my dear. Not exactly a lady-like emotion to wear as a public face.”

“My dear Princess, you seem quite nervous this evening. Care to speak on what troubles you?”

“Ahhh, so the student wishes to mimic the ways of the teacher, hm? Perhaps it would be wise to speak to him yourself? I cannot speak on his behalf -- only recount the affects of his actions on others.”

There was a wishful gleam in her eyes as she closed her feathered fan within her hand. “I could tell you stories all day while wishing for the golden days once more..but that would be pointless. I believe, to know how to be a true gentleman thief, you must never lose your nerve, even when your life is on the line and the stakes are high.”

“Social circles are always important. However, trust them if you dare, it never hurts to be a step ahead of those around you. One never knows if there is a traitor lurking in your mists.”

Haru wasn’t the only one who had trust issues.

━ It was..Haru’s persona. This was quite the meeting, he did not know whether he’d fallen into a slumber and found himself speaking to her instead of ending up in the velvet room. But the experience itself was quite pleasant. His lips curved into a slight smirk, it was refreshing to know that he himself was shaping up to be quite the thief himself. One that steals in the name of Justice if there was ever such a thing. “You and Arsene back in the day? Milady, could you tell me the type of trouble the two of you got into?” Hearing these stories might indeed mold him into a better thief but also just maybe it might bring him closer to Haru.

“Oh but of course!”

Milady was all too eager to gossip about her time with Arsene. “He was quite the gentlemen thief himself. There were times when we would catch up with one another in court during lavish parties, own the dance floor and even trade targets under the table.”

Her fan dusted across her cheeks as she thought back on her time. “Arsene might not seem like but, but he was a romantic at heart. Known as a gentlemen thief, but a gentlemen first. Placing the needs of his lady before his own and treating her like a queen...even if it means to start a small scandal in a library off a ballroom to have a private moment.”

A dreamy sigh slips from her lips. “If I was not so concerned with my duties as a spy and he looking out for the common folk, I believe we would have made a wonderful match. Alas, history obviously says otherwise.”

"Ah, you must be Noir's Persona, Milady, correct?" The Water Spirit gave a smile. Now she had a moment to have a conversation without any interruption by the Shadows. "As you may know, I'm Undine, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Milady gave the other a light tilt of her head, a smile forming from behind her ballroom mask. “You are correct darling.” She gave an appraisal glance to the water spirit. “I am going to take a wild guess and say that you are with the Trickster, are you not?”
