A personal beef I have with Flins

So, in all my years drawing- ups and downs, goods and bads, art blocks and inspiration episodes, I've never struggled drawing a character the way I've struggled with this stupid Fae. He just NEVER comes out looking the same way twice.

I admit it's mostly my fault; in my eyes, Flins is a VERY versatile character- handsome ikemen, cute bishonen, OOC buff gymbro looking dude, I DON'T CARE- I love them all. Even personality wise- give me humane, moe, weird, creepy, unethical- I like all the flavors!!!

Despite that, I can't nail ANY of these concepts- one day I'll try to draw him cute, he looks funky; handsome?- office worker low on caffeine; comedic purposes? he comes out in a COMPLETE different style!!!

That's how I've come to the realization- I sadly can't draw Flins as cute, ikemen, buff looksmaxxing mewer because my brain is wired to draw him in a complete different manner:

Alcoholic slavic uncle who's been working the night shift for 20 consecutive years.

Ergo, creepy Flins, but in a… wholesome way????

P.S. I know Flins is Russian-based and the 'carp in tub' thing is mostly a central european thing, but Nod Krai is slavic in general, so customs can be mixed up bc I say so >:(

A couple first impressions after returning to tumblr

•I LOVE the slow peace, I think this platform is more suited for nervous ppl like me lol. People look to be laid back and chill too, reminds me a lot of the old days. •I have to be careful with NSFW, I left this site pre-'No NSFW' policy so my brain has to be rewired. I wonder where the line is drawn though… I like to make 'artistic nudity' or semi nudity so… mhhh, I'll figure out the exact limits eventually… •From what I've seen, you can pretty much slap any tag you'd like on your posts and you won't be flamed for it (I thiiiink?) •Maybe I should change the blog's layout? Bc visually it looks like grandma's place but the name and headline- sounds like an edgy teen. Mh… does it even matter anymore? Do ppl even visit the main blogs now that we have 'previews'?? •I should start working on a little presentation as a courtesy. I've seen those in a couple blogs and they're very cute! •The only thing I don't like is that, from what I've read, you can't change your main blog? So I'm afraid that some day I will accidentally reply or interact with my main one and get things mixed up hahahaha. •I realized the Twitter algorithm played me dirty with Bunnyrir pt 1 bc I saw someone repost it on IG and it garnered 3k and here it's my most popular post. It's still good though, not to be worried about numbers and traction like X. It's like a curse that platform has- everyone worries abt numbers and most likely you will eventually do so too bc I remember initially thinking 'all that matters is feeding the poor ppl who like this ship which barely has any content', and very slowly I started worrying about numbers and looking at them as a sign of validation lol.

Anyway, I rambled quite a lot, didn't I? I kinda sound like an old grandma. Hopefully I can finish some stuff soon bc I'm very slow. (っ- ‸ -ς)

it is a lot quieter here, but i find the slower pace makes it easier to talk if you so choose

i didn't have a twitter acc to give back interactions-wise, so what a rare chance i can belatedly say here: love your work! the interactions you've drawn are really fun! i hope you continue to find joy in making what you like

Thank you so much for your kind words and welcoming! Tbh, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable in here and it hasn't even been a day- Twitter idk, it always made me feel on the edge and insecure, so this place feels like a warm home.

I plan to yap a lot, maybe even write drabbles and list headcanons and I'd be more than happy if ppl leave messages and questions!

Anyway, thank you again for your kind comment- I'll take this as an opportunity to mention that I've seen your works too and I love them lots and lots!! *chef kiss* so I hope to see more of your art in the future too! ❤︎❤︎❤︎

I changed home (platform)!

It's been a very long while since I used tumblr, but I think I'll return here just to post about flnsrr (genshin). I pretty much ran away from Twitter due to certain situations I'd rather not delve into, but I still want to make drawings... I'm not over the ship, the hyperfixation is still there, but I'm being troublesome for the ppl on twt, so I need a more contained place... (stop acting as if you're an SCP!!!!)

Now, I wonder if I should keep using poipoi bc I don't know how to share nsfw work bwhahahahaha. I'll post all my drawings soon.
