āYes itās a real accent, I lived in Aussie for most of my life.ā
āThatās absolutely lovely. Iāve always wanted to go there. Did you like it there?ā
In a crowd, or in a room full of people, I will always look for you.

āMy parents just told me theyāre visiting for thanksgiving..anyone want my alcohol?ā
āCan I please? I donāt care what it is, chances are I will happily take it off your hands.ā
Itās not called the windy city for nothing
āI truthfully think Iāll be prepared for it. Iām used to the cold, really.ā
. : Miles J. Carraway + Childhood : .
Milesā was your typical urban teenager. He was well rounded, both in good and bad ways. Around the age of seven or eight, his father left his mother for another woman, leaving her to work to support him and his older brother. They went from an upper class suburban family, living in a nice home outside of the city, to living in cramped, run down apartments in rougher neighborhoods.Ā
As he grew into adolescence, Miles began to feel bitter towards his way of living. While his spirits were good and he wished for success, the position he was in caused him to get with a different type of crowd. It was around the age of fifteen he began experimenting with several types of drugs, such as marijuana, hallucinogenics, oxy, and several different pills. Although he would never admit it, they still remain somewhat of a problem even years later.Ā
While he was still considerably a troubled teen, he wanted recognition from his mother. He worked hard in school, despite getting in trouble quite a few times, he overlooked everything in his life for his studies
jay-dealer:
āWell, Iāve never been to New York. Based on your uh, tolerance of snow, Iād say you might like winters here. Some days, though, the snow just keeps piling up and upā¦and up.ā
āI love snow when it first comes down... Itās so beautiful and peaceful. Then after like, two days in the city, it ends up looking like dirty crap everywhere and itās just a sloppy mess. So you could say I definitely have a love hate relationship with it. I think Iāll like the winters alright here, though.ā
Do you see a future with Kiara? I mean, I know you guys have been dating a little over a month, but I'm curious.
āAt this point, telling the future is just inevitable. I donāt like to jinx myself, but I do see a future with her. Mostly because sheās very mature and I think she knows what she wants. I know what I want as well and as far as all is concerned, itās her.ā
you concerned about Sam getting in the way of you and Kiara?
āI mean... I guess when it all boils down to it, no, Iām not. Because weāre all adults here. If she had any other intentions other than being with me, I would know. And I would know she isnāt the one. If someone isnāt capable of maintaining a steady relationship in the first place, then they arenāt the one for you, yāknow what Iām saying?ā
Because teenagers are incapable of forming immaculate and complete sentences. Let alone, paragraphs. And now youāre dating an English woman who happens to be an English teacher. You are so lucky. -smiles- I do agree on that and I love all books.
āI donāt think that more recent books get enough recognition. There are a lot of fantastic authors from our time out there, they just have yet to make their mark in history... And Iām more than aware that Iām extremely lucky. I love the fact that Iām dating such a lovely, classy and eloquent girl such as yourself.ā
āBeing in this city since I was 9, I believe I just have one question for you that will determine the answer to your question⦠Do you like snow?ā
āIām from New York, so snow basically dominates the entirety of the winters Iāve ever experienced. I donāt know if I can say I like it, maybe that I just accept the fact that itās a thing that exists.āĀ
kiara-bryant:
Iāve done it before. When i first started teaching, I have never seen so many tears in a high school classroom.
āI never got why essays were so difficult. I mean, maybe I was just more of an English kid than a science and math kid growing up, but I never complained about doing anything English related. Although, my teachers did make me read some pretty fucking terrible books. Classic literature isnāt always good literature, you know?ā
āIām so happy summer is finally over. Are the winters here as bad as everyone says they are?āĀ
Picnic in Paradise|| Kiara & Miles
Kiara laughed and shook her head. āWeāre going to the park.ā she smiled. āYouāve never had a picnic with a significant other? I did once. With my ex-fianceā¦.it was one of the happier times we had together.ā she sighed, her eyes darting to the floor. āBut no, itās not weird.ā she smiled as they walked outside.
āI donāt think Iāve actually ever been on a picnic in general. Like, I have no recollection of going on a picnic ever in my life. It does sound like fun. Itās like one of those cheesy things people are supposed to do all the time but actually never do.ā Miles laughed a little at the thought. He had not been on a whole lot of actual dates with Kiara like this. This would be a nice change up, he was hoping that maybe he could learn something new about her.Ā āSo since I havenāt really asked yet, how has everything been since I have been gone?ā
Next month is midterms. Now comes the stressful part of trying to figure out what to put on the exam.
āYou should make them write an essay in like, twenty minutes... or something. That sounds like possibly the scariest thing a tenth grader would ever have to face in their academic career thus far.ā
Donāt mind meā¦. Just gonna have a little nap right hereā¦. these couches are so comfyĀ
āI wish I had time for naps... Especially naps just fucking wherever. How can you manage that, huh?ā
āSame. I went to see some friends and most of them were on their phones while talking. Iām sure I could have said I planned to move to the country and raise horses and they would have just said okay.ā Will chuckled.
āI hate that shit. Itās so fucking rude. And the worst part is that no one even realizes it. Whenever Iām hanging out with someone, I make a special effort to just avoid my phone as much as possible. Maybe itās because Iām older than a lot of my casual friends but I canāt understand the attraction to being constantly hooked to your phone.ā
