The hour is the ultimate threshold effort.
She’s 36, with two kids. A competitive marathoner for just two years. And she’s going to the Olympic Trials. Andrea Duke is a late bloomer, trying to beat the clock and runners half her age. .... As they say, Marathons are for runners.

Small Bicycle Cassette & Hub Pedestal / Mantel Clock
Restriction of your ankle mobility can cause quite a few functional and athletic limitations! My preferred way to address this is with some mobility and stability work. I do this on a daily basis and have incorporated internal and external rotations into my morning and evening routines while I brush my teeth! Everyday without even thinking about it I am able to get that in and help assure I stay injury free (at least in my ankles!) through the rigorous testing and training I put my body through each day.
One exercise you can do to improve ankle stability and mobility are kettle bell lifts. Here I raise my extended leg then flex and extend my foot. You’ll really feel the burn here after 10-12 reps! Try to have your extended leg’s knee line up with your supporting leg’s knee to recruit even more muscles and increase your stability work.
There are also various ways of doing this! You can have your leg fully supported on the bench and let onto your ankle and foot hang off the edge. You could also have your leg bent at about a 90 degree angle on top of the bench and line up your heel with the edge of the bench. This further isolates your anterior tibilalis, that cool looking muscle in front of your shin that lifts your foot!
