New Finn photoshoot/interview for I_D

El canonically having told Mike about her mother makes me very emotional
It’s funny, because *Enola Holmes* directly addresses a common criticism from recent years—voiced by a segment of the audience that foolishly believes a strong woman entering a relationship somehow betrays her independence or halts her personal growth. That simply isn't the case. Eleven from *Stranger Things*—also played by Millie Bobby Brown—has faced that exact same criticism for years. So, it’s incredibly satisfying to see her in a role where the story itself critiques this new cliché surrounding female characters. Especially since even Enola Holmes faced that kind of criticism—specifically, that she shouldn't end up married to Tewkesbury because it would undermine her character as a strong woman. But fuck them, cause Enola can end up in a relationship—married and happy—while remaining the strong, independent woman she is. She and Tewkesbury can keep evolving and growing together. Damn it, Eleven should have had that kind of ending with Mike, too!
Dustin: You do realise that there is a rumor going around that you are in love with the El right?
Mike: A rumor? Are you telling me that people are doubting it?
the fact that El within less than a week goes from reflexively pulling away from Mike's touch to grabbing onto him, holding his hand, snuggling into him is very important to me
Mike Wheeler: "You're treating her like some kind of machine when she's not a machine. I don't want her to die looking for the flayed... because I love her and I can't lose her again!"
Listen, so happy for the Enola fans. But seeing all the press and promo with Millie and Louis Partridge is absolutely gutting. Where was this sort of marketing with MBB and Finn? I am aware of the rumors and potential reasonings that have been thrown around, I do not buy almost any of them. However, still does not take away my sadness and feeling robbed.
Even from just a capitalistic marketing standpoint, with Netflix’s knowledge that Eleven “died,” you would think they would have highlighted the hell out of the lead, flagship couple of Stranger Things - arguably one of the reasons it gained such popularity (chill, I said one of, not the only!) since that would have made the “death” so much more devastating and blindsiding… though cannot imagine feeling more devastated and blindsided than I still do. Ugh.
Just venting from my grief and jealousy.
