My dearest Yaana,
I am afraid I will be unable to visit you for some time. My father has ordered me to deliver some parcels to Rum Spring that he claims are too sensitive to leave in the hands of couriers. I know he is in truth wanting me to gain more experience in trading with people outside our borders. I want you to know that I will not be returning home directly after making his deliveries. I intend to travel awhile longer. Perhaps my father is expecting this of me also. I will write to you whenever the opportunity presents itself, just to let you know I am still alive. I will be keeping a journal detailing my travels as well. If I die in some roadside ditch, perhaps a traveler might be so kind as to deliver it back to you after they unburden my corpse of anything of value. But I will bring Pan along for protection, and Bel for entertainment. I do not think I could stop them from coming along regardless of my need for their company. I hope Eidolon chooses to accompany me as well. I will miss my conversations with you. As my parting gift to you, I have enclosed along with this letter the anal glands of a spotted skunk. It will have been no easy feat to convince the courier that they are ingredients needed for your alchemy, a bit of a fool though he may be. I will have instructed him to slide the letter and parcel under your door if you are not home. I wish you good luck in getting the smell out of your house.
The brave and true,
Green Seed
P.S. If you wish to use my gift to concoct a nasty brew for my father, I would be so pleased. I took the liberty of emptying a bottle from my father's liquor shelf for this purpose. Look for the flagon with the green dragon painted on the side.
