Hey! It's actually not CC 😅. It's one of the hairs from Enchanted by Nature. I was actually surprised when I went to check myself.
I figured, since everyone uses a UI mod or two, it'd be nice to do a compilation of their respective glitches (if or when they happen) and hopefully makes it easier for you to identify which mods need updating :9 but before that, some context about them! (disclaimer: all info based on my own experience w/ making UI recolors.)

They usually edit one of these two UI files, or both:
GFX files: often edited to add/modify the functionality of a UI.
Examples: More Traits in CAS, Searchable menus/UIs, UI Cheats Extension, TOOL, etc.
Texture (DDS) files: often edited to change the texture of a UI.
Examples: CC wrench icons, main menu/loading screen override, and world map replacements.
Both: UI recolors often edit both files above as text colors are handled by GFX files and the textures are edited separately. Some main menu and loading screen overrides also edit both if there's a new functionality added to them.

For example, the main Calendar UI comes with one GFX file (calendar.gfx) and one Texture file (instance # 999522802c8b1c5c). Meanwhile, the Edit Holiday & Plan Event UIs have their own set of GFX & Texture files. This can be further confirmed by checking the GFX file and see which external image it's referencing to in the file.
because of this, it makes it easy to pinpoint which UI mod is causing a glitch, hence the creation of this guide :p

Whenever there's a new game update, the GFX and texture set are updated together if a new functionality is added to a UI. With that in mind, when you have a UI mod from the previous patch laying around, you now have one half outdated/modded UI file (i.e. GFX) and one half up-to-date/unmodded UI file (i.e. UI texture) loaded up by the game (or vice versa), and that discrepancy in version is how you get the UI visual glitch!
Here's an example of a UI known to break (guicomponentlibrary.gfx):
There are instances where only the GFX file gets updated and not the textures, causing little to no visual bugs, or in another case, having 2 outdated UI mods from the same set (i.e. custom wrench icon & more traits in cas mod).
So even if there seems to be no visual bugs, some UIs may still not function as it's supposed to (mainly after big game updates). Always a good idea to check all of your UI mods.

I believe this item can solve a common problem faced by many builders — a problem I personally struggled with as well.
In practice, it works much like a power strip: simple, flexible, and reliable — and thankfully, without introducing any electrical safety concerns to the Sim world.

gen ai creeping into the sims community as well as some of my favorite game companies is so incredibly unfortunate that it's loomed on my mind longer than i'd like it to. however, it's moments like these where i get slapped with an epiphany
oftentimes, it's really easy to shift the blame onto an individual without addressing the core issue. it's almost like if we shame a person enough, it'll make them learn. but that's the thing about shame, it's a short-term solution to a long-term problem. what i've come to learn is shame does not change people, it makes them resentful. i've been guilty of it and i'm not proud of it. we often forget that acquiring any knowledge, comes with making mistakes, but it's the people that have honest yet constructive conversations with you and encourage growth is how you get through it. i believe this is also what can make a community healthy rather than aiming for sole positivity
the truth is, the most we can do to impact gen ai is to educate, share resources and form movements within communities. the core issues lie within governments lack of regulation and big companies not being held accountable however that's a whole separate conversation
what i've come to recognize with gen ai in creative spaces is people fail to recognize the difference between true art and something that is generated. i realized this with swen vincke from larian studios wanting to utilize gen ai as a reference similar to google or art books. what is being forgotten is the mind is the best source of inspiration. creativity comes from you. nothing is original but it's the human experience, what you chose that resonates with you brings uniqueness to an idea. no machine will ever do that for you. it can only give you an amalgamation of choices it made for you but it isn't handcrafted by you. art is a lot of things to people, but i don't think it would be wild to say that art is what's authentic to you. it's an accumulation of your experiences, thoughts and feelings projected onto somewhere and there's beauty in vulnerability
so, all of this got me thinkin... i want to try something
a lot of the issue in ai usage in ts4 community stems from a lack of knowledge on how to edit or the desire to reach a level that takes time and effort. there was a point in time, many years ago, where it felt like i was grinding teeth to try and learn something and then a friend introduced me to using textures. and that small sliver of knowledge felt revolutionary
so i'd like to encourage everyone to post one or multiple pieces of knowledge whether it's an editing/writing tip, an editing/writing resource, a reshade/gshade preset or even a tutorial of some sort! if you're a cc creator, you're totally welcome to joining in! i know gen ai has swept into the cc spaces

When I started uploading, my earliest post was praising Rheya for their talent, color scheming, and compositions. I’ve been watching them since I was in high school. They’ve been a huge inspiration.
I used their bridal shop build as a reference for ONE of the 6 stores, and it gained traction that I wasn’t expecting. The build isn’t posted for that reason: it was personal. I just wanted to share a screenshot.
They proceeded to subtweet me, and another individual (who I highly suspect is them because it’s an account with the only tweet being a quote of Rheya asking for people not to edit their builds) continuously commented on my posts throughout the night.
I’ve been blocked by them on shared platforms, so I have no intentions of reaching out since they’ve made it clear that there is vitriol for me, but I want to make this CRYSTAL CLEAR:
All my builds are made by ME. Everything that I’ve uploaded is made by ME. I don’t edit pre-established builds. If you ever have any questions about building tricks/tips, compositions, etc., don’t be afraid or feel intimidated. Just ask! I’ll be more than happy to help out. Most importantly, if you ever want to use my builds as a reference, DON’T BE AFRAID TO! I don’t own any concepts or the CC. There's no need to credit me. This is a community, but more importantly, this is a video game. We're supposed to help each other out. If I were to come across something that looked similar to mine, it's not going to faze me. I'm genuinely flattered that I'm on your reference board.

since ashleyplays's most recent overrides showcase video where she showed how to make custom phone wallpapers and thanks to her providing a template for it I've made one myself and thought to share it!
these are mostly catered to my personal aesthetic choices but I tried to be a bit broad and include different ones!
all of the art (except the last variant with the picture of ada wong that is my own sim :) posted her on my simstwt! ) is curated from pinterest and edited by me to have the date, time and top screen icons.
☆ you can only have one wallpaper override in your game at a time, if you have another and want this one or have this one and want another you need to only have the one you currently want in your mods folder!

"Harry's Market Pt. 1" Functional + Deco Items | TS4
I'm a simple girl with a simple dream- to make an Erewhon-esque grocery store in the sims and call it Harry's. My sims should also be plagued by immensely overpriced food and influencer curated drinks. That's not a reality I should experience alone, so here we are. My intention was to start with just drinks, but then things sorta went off the rails. I debated whether or not I wanted to make all the items functional, but decided against it because I will not be updating my game regularly. For now, enjoy five decorative items and one functional tote bag. Hope you enjoy it! And if you don't then keep that to yourself, sista idk.
