Even when asked "what is your dream", the selfless Phainon dreams about bringing other Heirs' hope to life...
Aglaea's "When it's over, I want to open a tailor shop" , and Phainon dreams of their Flame Chase journey's end-- with Aglaea as the leader, cherished by the people... alongside Phainon & Mydei as her strongest warriors. After that I'm sure Aglaea will then open her shop. "It wouldn't be bad to live for yourself."
Castorice's "I want to be a normal person" , and Phainon dreams of Cas and Pollux as children. Holding hands, without fear of their curse of death. "That's not a wish" as it should've been what they can have.
Mydei's "Time to see who's better" , and Phainon dreams of their spar on the rooftops of Memorial Market with happy smiles as they play like kids--which is important to me because Mydei didn't exactly have happy childhood :')
The saddest thing is Phainon's response to Mydei: "Then stand up, and face me!". I'd like to think he yelled this at Mydei when he saw him fall.
Please, please stand up. Let me see your face again. Don't leave me alone. Stand up, stay alive, and fight together with me.
...how can one stop thinking of things that has happened?
I submitted a report, yet here I am hours after, still thinking about how I could've made that report sound better. Or whether I should not have type some things, or whether it will hurt the reader's feelings, or if it can fail me on landing the deal...
Still thinking about how Grace was always treated as disposable. Kicked out of his passion field for his honesty—underpaid as a (very good) teacher, to the point he can’t afford a car—left alone in a room full of argon with a sample that might kill him, while all the indispensable guys who put him there stood on the other side of the glass and watched. Shoved screaming into a mission that would kill him. And then, then this bonkers little alien who just met him gladly trades years off his life (via extended return mission) to save him. Runs burning through deadly air to keep him from dying. Chooses finally to weave their lives together forever and recreate Grace’s best dreams of Earth to make him happy. No wonder Grace told Rocky he doesn’t have to get him a gift, he’s given him everything. To one little spider guy, Grace is irreplaceable. That’s love.
... is there any particular reason why every time i scroll down a tag i always found unrelated business / market posts? that's so annoying if i have to be honest lol.
I've been loving Wuthering Waves 3.0 update so far! I've finished Act I and lit up the (surface) map's Nexus.
I love that the story goes straight to the point of crisis now, after a nice pace of introduction to the academy. And it's really nice to be back to a heavily futuristic area from the "kinda-rustic" feel of Rinascita.
It's like going back to Huanglong with all the digital screens and unique gadgets, but more "space-themed"! The academy also feels really alive with so many students, teachers, and other workers though it may cause a bit of lag compared to previous maps lol.
Lynae and Mornye's voices are nice to hear, crisp and clear. I can relate to Lynae's wish to "start-over", and Mornye seems like a sweet professor! Dr. Luuk's voice reminds me a bit of Brant due to his lilt (?) and sometimes his appearance in some scenes also reminds me of Cristoforo (the Fractidus' playwright). He certainly knows about the original Rover from the past records though, so I suppose he's "trustworthy" for now. [Reminder: I had only finished 3.0 Act I]
The girl from the wormhole though.... she looked like "Wuwa-version" of Cyrene / Elysia combined with Bronya's Herrscher-suit lol. I hope the story will be different (not the same sacrificial issue). To be fair: The comparison really can't be helped because I play those games (HI3 & HSR) first. But Wuwa's story has already improved, so I have hope!
(Also when I pick these images I just realized their hair shade also similar including the halo and wing-shaped side piece [except for the bluish tint on Cyrene's lmao])
(Would it be funny if that girl is Cyrene in another universe lmao Hoyo and Kuro verse collide /j)
I haven't explore much, but I already love the motorbike. The auto-drive mode is great for sightseeing! Though I'm sad that we can't use our glider (yet?) since I feel the glider still feels faster--maybe because of the viewing distance and ability to bypass difficult terrains from the sky. But! It's a really nice experience overall, and I'd love to just enjoy an auto road trip every once in a while.
I will try to do the story continuation (I've been requested to wait for Lynae for 2 days) and then explore (lit up the rest of the waypoints).
I wonder who will be in the next patch's banner? If it's Dr. Luuk, I'm guessing since he's a Doctor here in the Academy, his kit will have something related to healing and buffing? I'm still torn between keep going for Carthetiya (I already have Ciaccona for her) or just hold and save for Dr. Luuk... mainly because I don't think I have enough resources to get Carth's weapon, and I heard it's quite a significant DPS loss... We'll see how it goes...
It's so funny looking back at this post because yes: of course it's the same sacrificial plot for the pink haired main push lmaoooo
The refreshing thing though, is that Aemeath is posed as Rover's "daughter". A breath of fresh air amongst all the waifu collecting. Though... I saw some players already complained that she is not part of mc's harem. So I don't know what Kuro will do--will they retract the "daughter" relationship and rewrite it as "different person! new woman!" kinda thing when we bring Aemeath "back", or expand more on the familial situation instead.
--
Also currently after I finished with 3.1 second half story, which was supposed to be about Luuk... I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that we only touch lightly on Luuk's story. We learn that he's infiltrated Fractidus, but then that's it. He just... shown to get lots of info. We are more focusing on the attack from the Architect (in form of a girl) instead. Which is a bit sad... but I suppose it's to be expected from a male, non-pushed character.
I wonder if Scar will get different treatment haha (if he's playable at all).
--
I still like the world design! Though it's very laggy now. The story... I suppose I learn not to expect too high lest I'm in for disappointment.
The thing is, since this came out after Genhin's Luna IV which is another 'interstellar' moment with Columbina (and that one is even more elaborate / shown), this one doesn't really affect me that much. Aemeath is still pretty though.
We'll see what heppened next... with Sigrika who looks like Sonetto / Lopera garment from Reverse hahah.

Regarding Welt's English VA situation (Mr. Corey Landis).
I saw his correspondence with one of Hoyo's employee (assuming, since the email extension is @/hoyoverse) and from his side of story it seems Hoyo lacks communication initiative?
It's clear that there's a disagreement on the contract given, but all parties were not communicating intensively from the start, letting it fester until it became like this.
Mr. Corey also said there's "no info that he will be fired if he didn't sign the contract", that's why he kept working. But that in itself is weird too! Why would you work if you don't have the formal contract fixed...?
Though of course I will understand if the contract's content contains something about generative A/I use, or if there's politics involved, which rightfully will make one anxious and uncomfortable. It can easily tweaked by omitting those (if any), and I agree with that. Afterall, Voice Actors are to voice characters, not for politics and certainly not to allow the use of their voice without their consent.
It's astounding to see this big of a company, and the voice acting studio, failed to communicate properly.
But there's also another view that the Studio also be apart of this for not protecting their talent accordingly. Like why he's still permitted to record without safe contract? And why no effort being done by the Studio to assist Mr. Corey in communicating with Hoyo to address this issue as fast as possible?
Working in a WFH environment, I can tell you that when working in remote settings the communication has to be more intensive and proactive. Can't be only one side doing the work. All of them have to put in equal effort as well.
...All in all, I really hope they can keep Welt's voice.
I don't know who's in the wrong here, and I'm inclined to just think everyone has their part in this case. I only wish there are clear communications / news from Hoyo part, as I, the player, feel nervous too in investing in this game further. There needs to be a very justifiable reason for the termination.
...which is really sad because Star Rail and Genshin are genuinely my sources of comfort these days.
It's frustrating that it's only English versions that experience this :')
The JP, KR, and CN side seems to be quite peaceful. So I don't know why this issue keeps happening for the Global side. I wonder if the western system is really very different than the Asia side...?
I wonder if there will be a point where Hoyo will think doing business with westerners voices are not profitable (keeps inviting controversy) and decide to just forgo the EN VA altogether...
Hope it won't come to that... since there are many nice and talented VAs out there, like Ms Molly (Seele, Astra Yao), Josh (Phainon, Velite), Allegra (Acheron, Beidou, Fairy) and I believe many others too.
It seems that it's possibly majorly between Mr. Corey and the Studio...? His dispute is being dismissed, I'm assuming when he received unsatisfactory contract...? This whole thing is so confusing.
And if this turns out to be true, I'm a bit weirded out by Mr. Corey's decision to show the Hoyo employee's email address (Mr. Liu) who I'm sure would receive many, many emails asking / complaining about this matter.
There's an interesting perspective though, that by doing this Mr. Corey is hoping for Hoyo to notice and maybe do something about it...?
I guess Hoyo is the one who asked to replace Mr Corey since he's not under any contract which can be illegal...? But then it's because Mr Corey doesn't like the contract that the Studio gave him, and trying to dispute to no avail...? So he's a bit pissed that Hoyo didn't listen to him first and instead just straight away fire him...? Idk man. Why English VA side always has this convoluted ways to solve issue aaargrhh

okay if the rh group find this post i might get destroyed but i just need to write this down to reflect lol.

I think... hyv is guiding blade and dan heng not only to reconcile but also to move on.
With all the push to deepen the bond between dh + Astral Express in Amphoreus patches, as well as some content (be it fan-made or official) of blade + Stellaron Hunters.
The first step to reconcile with each other is maybe to realize that they already have found family with their current groups unknowingly especially to Blade, who will maybe get development on his story in the next planet (I hope). Maybe he'll realize just how important the Hunters for him... the next sense of camaraderie after the Quintet. After all the first time we get him, in his character dialogue he just said they have the same goal and that's it. Maybe it will change in the future, with how we are shown that he does care especially for Silver Wolf and Firefly, and he's quite empathetic to Kafka as well.
There might still be a sliver of Yingxing in him. One of the route is that he finally get to meet yx in his mindscape (like dh with dan feng) to re-learn more about himself and make peace of what had happened.
I'd still love to see dan heng and blade have their proper conversation though instead of kill-kill-kill lol. This is the next step for their reconciliation, I feel. Maybe they can revisit what had actually happened leading to the sedition, the accidents, and then finally talk about what they will do from then on.
I feel in the end dh will still be with AE crew and blade with SH. Maybe it can go like this, after everything is over...
__
K: You know Bladie, the script is over. Elio said you are free now. [looking at Dan Heng behind them, talking with Express crew but also looking at the Hunters]
B: ...hm. Well. We've talked.
B: I think... each of us would like our own adventure... before meeting again.
SW: ...so you're coming with us? We'll be together again?
FF: But... won't you miss your Quintet friends?
B: Hm.
B: It will make the next reunion even sweeter, don't you think?
DH: Heh. I heard that. [he walked slowly to blade]
DH: ...
DH: If that's what you want, 'Blade'. Just... know that The Express Crew is no longer viewing you as a threat. So...
DH: You are free to come by. Anytime. All of you.
B: Hm.
B: I'll take you up on that, Dan Heng.
__
I wonder if the "death" promised to Blade by Elio is not a literal death, but just death to his past. In the coming Aeon War I suppose his target can be Yaoshi, alongside Luofu (and by extension, the remaining Quintet: JY & JL). We'll see!
__
tldr;
I think Blade and Dan Heng are on the road to move on from their past and going on their separate ways with AE and SH respectively. I do hope they still get a chance to be at peace with each other though, and still make plans to reunite together at some point after everything, if they are still alive.
There's a new NPC in the Xianzhou supposedly retelling the As I've Written story... But the only Chrysos Heirs he seems to talk about are Mydei and Phainon. 😂
Even the NPCs just want to talk about Mydei and Phainon too:
A conversation with an in-game friend went as follows:
We were just talking about the status of Cyrene (Honkai Star Rail), on how the devs seemingly trying to sell her E2 to solve her ult charge issue (if what we heard is correct), which was another case of comfort-kit locked in an eidolon. We were also not sure of Cyrene's longevity outside of Amphoreus patch, and how her kit wasn't exactly busted / universal despite her being a hyped long-awaited character.
He said "It's possibly because when whales play it will be too easy and they'll ask for harder content."
I assume he meant the devs made Cyrene not that strong in order to maintain some sort of balance...? The thing is, I heard that there will still be HP inflation in endgame modes on Cyrene's release...
And that last sentence triggered a curiosity that I already have from quite a while...
Why?
Why would you want harder content? Wouldn't you be happy if your whaled / highly -invested characters can finish endgames easily and can brute-force anything? If I'm a whale, I would be very happy to be able to finish endgames in just one click! Why would I ask for something harder? Why do you want your invested character to be obsolete in just 2-3 patches because of HP inflation with mechanics that no longer cater to your favorites?
Most importantly...
Why would I want to be stressed when playing a game?? Life is already challenging as it is!
---
Then he said, "Maybe not the low-spenders or whales. But the leviathans will probably get bored. Some also just likes challenges, and want to pull constellations too."
Okay, there's no fault if you do want to pull cons or eidolons.
But the other point... They way it is boring I think is because the game only offers you one challenge: timer. Or in HSR terms, your number of turns. No matter how fat the HP, I can guarantee that you will still get bored. Because you will just do the same thing over and over, only longer.
---
I think it's also because currently for several patches now, HSR was severely lacking in events. There will be days when players just log in to do their dailies and log out again. Which arguably it's good, because players are human--you need to go outside, socialize or do your work, eat, bathe.
But for some who genuinely want to play the game longer, I can understand that they can struggle to find something. What I do is to make a "hunting" schedule. I usually hunt enemies with smallest amount of drops in my inventory. Or, you can also do Achievement hunting. Or do Divergent Universe runs, where you can bring your favorite characters and get many combinations of buffs. And if that's not enough...
You may consider looking for another fun games outside HSR. For example... if you like stories, Reverse1999 might be perfect for you. If you like combat or another open world exploration, maybe try out Wuthering Waves. Or try some popular games to see if the hype is real, like Waterpark Simulator, Dredge, or Little Nightmares. I'd love to try Silent Hill f but it's still too expensive for me... will see if they have steam discounts in the future...
---
Ah, but again. The reason I write this up is because I don't understand why people want their games to be hard.
If you want it because you are bored, in my honest and humble opinion, may be it's not that you want it harder. You just want or need something new.
Look at this clean style! It looks clinical (in a good way).
The manga title is "The Bateren Tales".
it's a historical story about a time when Christianity was banned during Edo period in Japan ...with a touch of supernatural.
It's also being supervised by a member of Department of History from a certain university, so it will be interesting to also learn about this period generally!
I'm happy that many other readers giving their support in this one. Hope it can grow more! As for me, I'm always happy reading cultural or historical manga <3 And so glad that Akane banashi took off so well.
