Manifesting pt 2
As a person who is pretty new to manifesting and all of that kind of thing, I have been doing more and more research on it to get better at it. So, I would just like to share what I've found out.
--
So basically, manifesting is pretty simple, it may seem difficult, but what it comes down to is knowing that what you want is in the future, it's something that is going to happen, you are on the path that will bring you to what you want. It's definitely something that you get better at as time goes on, but just know that you can have what you want and you need to believe that it is something you will be able to have in the future, it's something that's already in the future for you.
--
Also, I apologize for being gone for like a week, the time literally just flew by and I didn't realize how much time passed, but here I am and I will try as hard as I can to be more consistent with posts.
Manifesting
I recently got into manifesting, law of attraction, law of assumption, and that type of thing, I feel like it's pretty related to witchcraft, so I decided why not make a post on it, and I probably will continue to in the future. Starting off I would say definitely do your research about this type of thing to get a better understanding of it because I'm a beginner and don't really know all that much. I guess I'm just going to share my method and how I do it, there are many different ways you can do it though, so just pick one that works for you.
--
I learned this thing called ask, believe, receive. For believe, basically you ask the universe for whatever it is you want. Personally, I like to write down a description of what I want, I would compare this description to intention, if you look back at my post on that, I talked about how intention works, I would say that you should describe what you want like you would describe your intentions. They're very similar to each other.
Next, we have believe, this is basically you believing and trusting that the universe will bring what you want to you, that it can actually happen and be true. You need to trust that the universe will give you what you want, you can't have doubt that it will happen because that will push it away.
Lastly, there's receive, for this one it's really just acting like you already have this thing you want. Go about your day like you already have this thing that you want. Feel the emotions you would feel if you did have this thing that you want.
There are of course many different ways that you can go about manifesting, if you don't like this method or it doesn't work for you or anything like that, just do some research and find the method that works for you :DD
---
I just wanted to say sorry for being so inactive for a really long time, I went on a trip a few weeks ago, so I kind of just stopped posting, I'm back now and I'll try to post as consistently as possible, though school is starting again soon for me so I might not post as much then.
Red Flags in Witchcraft
Red Flags When Looking For Information
As a Witchling, doing research before attempting any spell-work is important. Whether you are asking more experienced witches for their knowledge, reading a book or searching for information on Google, you should always cross reference from multiple sources. While this is a good way to verify information, you should be aware of red flags to look for when doing your research. Inconsistency in terminology Pay attention to the words people use. You can often find people interchanging words to refer to the same thing. If you see this, consider it a red flag. It is important that you research the definitions of different terms, especially when you are just beginning your path as a witch. Here are terms that are sometimes interchanged that shouldn’t be: - Talisman & Amulet - Pagan & Wiccan - Smudging & Smoke Cleansing - Pentacle & Pentagram - Jinx & Hex & Curse Claiming Spell-work Does Not Have Consequences You may come across some witches who like to believe that doing any kind of spell-work doesn’t ever have serious consequences. Here is the problem with that: every action results in a consequence. It may not necessarily be a negative consequence, but there are risks. Always keep in mind that when you do spell-work you can either have no results, the results you expected or results you did not expect. Spell-work sometimes backfires. Sometimes spells end up causing more harm than good. There is also the possibility of causing collateral damage to people who you never intended to harm. This is why we always push the fact that Witchlings should always learn how to do proper cleansing, banishing and learn how to set up strong protections before attempting any other spell-work
When They Talk About Using Restricted and/or Closed Practices If you are new to witchcraft, you may not have heard of these before. Some practices are restricted or closed, meaning you either have to be born into them or be invited and/or initiated. The primary reason for certain practices to be restricted or closed is due to them being oppressed and abused. The history often includes racism, slavery, invasion of their sacred land and genocide. Here is a list of practices that are restricted or closed:
Restricted:
Hoodoo
Eastern European Religions.
Judaism.
Sikihism
Zoroastrianism
Gardnerian Wicca.
Alexandrian Wicca.
Shamanism Closed Practices
Indigenous Practices
Polynesian Practices
Santeria
Voodoo
Rastafarianism
Nahua
Sami
African Tribal Religions
Claiming Witches Must Be Wiccan
Many of the sources that you find will probably be based on Wicca. Although not all Wiccans push Wicca onto Witchlings, there are some narcissistic Wiccans who will tell you that to be a true witch you must be Wiccan. This is not true. If you do not vibe with Wicca, then it simply isn’t for you. There are many other paths to choose from. The threefold law and the rest of the Wiccan Rede may not vibe with you. That is okay. Wicca is not for everybody and it is not the only valid path for a witch.
Claiming Only Women Can Be Witches Men can be witches, too. No, they don’t have to refer to themselves as “warlocks”. As far as most witches are concerned, Witch is a gender-neutral term. If anybody tells you men cannot be witches, chances are they are a misandrist. Don’t listen to them. Claiming You Must Work With Some Sort Of Entity Listen carefully. Whether it is deities, the fae or any other type of spirit, you must understand that working with any type of entity requires a certain level of responsibility and knowledge. There are trickster spirits and other negative entities that would love to jump at the opportunity of taking advantage of a Witchling who does not know what they are doing. You can get hurt if you do not know what you are dealing with. Do not attempt to work with any entities until you have learned the bare basics that I mentioned earlier. With that being said, working with entities of any kind is not a requirement to be a witch. That is a matter of belief and personal preference. There are some witches who are agnostic or atheist, and that is okay. Do not force yourself to work with entities if you know you do not want to. Claiming You Must Learn Some Form Of Divination This one may be against popular belief, but truth be told you do not have to practice divination. Although divination has its benefits, some witches just don’t vibe with using pendulums, runes, tarot or any other divination tool. That is perfectly fine.
Claiming You Must Celebrate The Sabbats You may have already discovered the Wheel of the Year, but if you have not then all you need to know is it tells of the holidays that many witches celebrate. Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh / Lammas, Mabon and Samhain. You do not have to celebrate these to be a witch. It is all a matter of personal preference.
Claiming You Must Identify As A “Type” Of Witch
Green Witch, Kitchen Witch, Eclectic Witch, Grey Witch, etc… Does not matter. These types of labels only exist to give people a sense of structure. You do not have to label your path. You are a witch. That is all that matters. Claiming You Must Do Shadow Work Listen carefully. Shadow Work isn’t a witch thing. It is a psychological thing. If you don’t understand this, look up Carl Jung and his theories. Shadow Work, although beneficial in many ways, can be difficult on a person who has experienced severe traumas. If you know that your traumas are very triggering for you, please avoid doing Shadow Work unless you are in the presence of a medical or psychological professional.

These are just a few red flags that you should look out for when doing research. Understand that not all people and resources are trustworthy and you have to be able to decipher what resources are reliable. There are many egotistical witches, , poorly written books and bad information across the internet.
Smudging vs Smoke Cleansing
One of the most common mistakes that I see people make is interchanging these two terms, or using one instead of the other. They are in fact two separate things, and one is part of a closed practice so it is important to know the difference.
Smudging
Smudging is part of Native American traditions, making it part of a closed practice. In fact, due to parts of it being ceremonial, it is impossible for outsiders to smudge as they literally do not know how. Non-natives are not taught the ceremonial parts of smudging, so unless you were taught how, you genuinely cannot be smudging. While different tribes sometimes do it differently, every example I’ve seen does involve burning various plants, which is why it is often confused with smoke cleansing.
Smoke Cleansing
Smoke cleansing is the act of using smoke to influence a space’s energy. This often involves burning plants with cleansing, protective, or other properties to bring those properties to the space itself. Some examples I’ve seen used are sage, rosemary, or even lavender depending on the intended purpose. This is what the majority of witches are doing when they burn herbs around a space. However, it is still important to make sure the plants you are burning will not harm you if inhaled, and that if you are using plants traditionally used by native peoples that they are sourced ethically (here is a post that explains why it matters). If you cannot source your plants ethically, then kitchen varieties of most plants can be used instead.
Knowing the difference between these is really important, as they are different practices. I wanted to make this post because I see the terms used interchangeably or incorrectly literally every time I come on this site, so I hope it helped!
Daily reminder that:
You decide if you are a witch or not, no one else does.
Gatekeeping will always exist, and sometimes you just need to grab the bolt cutters and break in. (*This does not pertain to closed practices or paths.)
Your craft can be as intricate or simple as you want.
Don't let charlatans scam you, please be on the lookout for them because they prey on us spiritual people.
Tarot
So, I went to the book store yesterday and ended up in the section with all the witchy stuff and saw this tarot deck that I just really really wanted and ended up getting it. I've never done tarot before, so I'm very new at it and I'm trying to learn the best I can, so if anyone has any tips for me that would be greatly appreciated!!
Also, I might try to do little tarot spreads for all of you every once in a while just to get the hang of them.
Magickal Process: Projection
Projection is when you send your combined intention and power to your visualized outcome or to a person, place, or situation
--
It is necessary to know how to put your intention and power together to work towards your intended outcome in order to complete the magickal process. In order to project, you must simultaneously visualize your intention while channeling power then project them.
Magickal Process: Power
Power is what fuels magickal practice and brings your intentions to reality.
--
While having a clear intention is extremely significant when you are practicing magick, it's nothing without the power that is needed to back it up.
This power can be accessed from internal or external sources. Internal power comes from within you, it is the magick that is naturally within yourself. External power comes from sources outside of you. This power can be taken from natural sources such as plants, stones, planets, weather, etc.
--
For accessing internal power, this power is already alive in you, your power is always alive, but during spells and rituals its intensity must be amplified. Some of the ways that you can increase your personal power during magickal practice are visualization and body movement. When using visualization, you can tap into your internal power by visualizing what that power looks and feels like as it grows in strength. When you're moving your body, whether that's through hand gestures of dances, energy is produced. When you focus this energy and project it intentionally, it becomes magick.
For accessing external power, we can channel this power from the natural world. This process starts through tuning in to an external source whose magickal power is relative to your intention. The power of these sources is then combined with your own and then is directed toward the result you want.
--There are other external sources, basically other beings, that you can channel power from, but that's a whole different topic that would probably be best to be talked about in an entirely different post--
--
As always, I'm a beginner witch, so I'm not at all well informed on the subject of witchcraft, so if you have anything you want to add to this or anything you want to correct, please let me know!!
Hey! Crystals can't heal you and I can't believe there are so many people just straight up lying to vulnerable people. Please don't believe charlatans that try to tell you that crystals will "boost your vibration" to cure your mental illness, chronic illness, disability, or disorder.
Magickal Process: Visualization
Visualization is when you take an idea or thought and turn it into a clear image.
-visualization can strengthen the entire process of working magick-
This is an extremely valuable component of the magickal process because when you visualize your intention, you show the magick what to do and where to go. Basically, when you are visualizing your intention, you are giving a target to the magick so it can be sent there to carryout your intended goal.
--
As said in my last post, I am a baby witch, so if you have anything to add to this or anything you want to correct please let me know! I would love to be able to learn as much as possible!
Magickal Process: Intention
Intention- a person's goal or what they want to make happen.
-intention is strengthened by visualization-
Intention is one of the most important things in magickal practice. There needs to be a clearly defined goal(or intention) during magickal practices such as rituals and spells for them to be successful. When practicing magick you need to be clear about exactly what you want to happen. Things may not work out exactly how you want them to if you're not specific, so make sure to be very specific about what you want. Along with being specific about what you want, you need to be clear about when you want it, like how soon you want it, otherwise it could happen in the near future or a long way down the road. Being clear about where is very important too, so that you make sure the location is correct, so it doesn't manifest in a location you don't want it to.(if a location is included in what you want to happen). Being clear about who you want this to happen to(if that's included in what you want to happen) is very significant as well to make sure it happens to the right person. Lastly, being clear about how you want this to happen/how you want to obtain the outcome is imperative. If you're not clear about how you want things to happen, the magick could go wrong. Basically, think about who, what, when, where, and how when defining what your intention or goal is.
--
While being very clear about your intentions is very significant, you also need to be realistic and flexible with them. If the magick isn't realistic, is too specific, or too rigid then the probability of the magick working is decreased.
--
(I would just like to say that I'm a baby witch and this is just what I'm finding out from research so if there's anything that you would like to add or correct then please let me know).
Welcome To My Witchy Account
Hello there! First, I'll tell you a little bit about me. I currently am questioning my gender, I think I'm genderfluid or nonbinary(I shall keep you updated on this). I think that I'm okay with all pronouns(including neopronouns), but as a person who thinks they're genderfluid, my pronouns change pretty frequently, so I might just post what my pronouns for the day are everyday. I'm panromantic and I think I might be some sort of asexual identity, but I'm not sure. My favorite things are reading, writing, anime, drawing, painting, listening to music, and my best friend. The things I post will probably include books, my stories that I write, anime, art, sometimes vents/rants if I need to get something out, etc. But this account will be mostly centered around witchcraft as that's a large part of why I created it. Mostly to keep notes of things that I find important or interesting to me in the subject of witchcraft. Kind of like a digital book of shadows I guess, but also to help other witches out there. I am a beginner witch and don't know much about the craft at the moment, but I am doing research and trying to learn more. I don't honestly know if anyone will even look at this account or what will happen with it, so if you are here and are seeing this: I hope you're having a lovely day/night and if you're not I promise things will get better, they may not get better immediately, but eventually they will :]
