Ok mini intro I guess.

Hi, I'm StellaLuna, just call me Stella. I'm a fictive(?) of a peculiar children OC! I'm 16 and my peculiarity is seeing Hollows and controlling them, as well as seeing ghosts. Not really sure how that ended up happening but whatever. I'm from NYC, and I lived in a hidden loop in the 1980's. I'm always open to talking about my canon if anybody wants to know. I'm dating a Millard fictive, so that's why my bio says that. And I came up with the blog name after a lovely Freudian slip I had. I find his shoulders attractive, and when making a joke about me being tiny I said "I'm so small, he could snap me over his shoulder" instead of his knee. Oops

Anyway, I really hope I can use this blog to make friends, maybe even meet other people in systems that are peculiar or are kin!

what's absolutely heartbreaking about the act of looping children is that the children themselves never knew this would happen to them; they had no idea that one day they would be taken and, while yes in much better care and safety, kept reliving their same day as a child for years and years on end, living past hundreds of years old while still remaining their youthful selves. having to navigate through these newly found and scary abilities at such young ages is hard enough, now they are living through these powers that have been seen as ghastly at the same ages that they were the most tormented at, by themselves, their families, and others simply within their lives. how traumatic. on top of that, they would never get to live out their lives, their childhood dreams. they never grew up, never had an adulthood of their own. i can't imagine being emma, who never got to see her sister again, hugh and fiona, who never got to go on and live out their lives together, olive and claire, who don't even know what being anything other than young girls is like. it is the best that could have happened to them, but it is bittersweet in that it is also the worst.

-Riggs robbed us by not bringing Ricky back in a map of days. I want to see how someone like him reacts to peculiars, because I DOUBT it would be as stupidly negative Jacobs parents did

-I did not get why Jacob even thought about going back to his family. Maybe it's just because my whole system has family issues, but it's just no. You don't owe abusive family shit. Chosen and found family can be better than blood family. DON'T BE AFRAID TO WRITE THAT IN A BOOK

-Fiona deserved so much better and more development. Her peculiarity is cool, and she clearly has spunk to her from the ONE line she has. Let her sass people off!

-Speaking of Fiona! HUGH AND FIONA ARE A BETTER ROMANCE THAT ANY OTHER COUPLE! Hugh literally FOUND her in a field of flowers like she's a goddamn fairy. Their peculiarities help each other. They've clearly been together for a long time. GIVE ME A BOOK ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP

-Hugh should have also been Irish. That's less of an opinion and more of a big want. At the time in the 40's, Irish people were still being discriminated against and it would give us SOMETHING on that type of matter even if it isn't nearly as bad of an issue now. Just give us flavor text even! Just somethiiing!

-Riggs is horrible at remembering what he's written. His continuity is laughable at times. In the first book he mentions a set of twins when Jacob is first in the loop. THEY ARE NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN! THEY STRAIGHT UP DISAPPEAR. ENOCH APPEARS AT A MALL IN A MAP OF DAYS FOR LITERALLY ONE LINE EVEN THOUGH HE WASN'T WITH THEM! Speaking of that, I'm convinced that was meant to be Hugh saying the teasing line there.

-I wish Riggs would have done more with Enoch being so in between the older boys and the younger kids. I crave exposition about him being at such an awkward age, wanting to be considered part of the teens and not lumped in with the kids! Something!

-Riggs would make BANK if he wrote a spin off book of just a bunch if random stories starring the other peculiars. Even if it was just what they did in a day. Tell us more about Abe and the hollow hunters. Give me a story about Millard spying on people for a day. Let me hear about Enoch making a mini war in his work room for fun. Hell! I'd read something under 1000 words that's just Hugh and Fiona going on a date behind everyone's backs.

-I want to know the weirdest shit from this universe. What happens if a peculiar gets pregnant in a loop? How likely is your child to be peculiar if you and your partner are? Do you have to cut your hair in a loop? We know technology doesn't work in a loop, what about analog things??? Like could you use a camera from the 70's or 80's in a loop in the 40's because it's analog? I WISH FOR ANSWERS AND I MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE

Millard and romance between peculiars

Mention of “Hollow City” (2nd book of MPHFPC)

On page 176 of "Hollow City”, Jacob thinks about Millard: "But then what chance would someone like him have with a normal girl?" And that got me thinking: If normal girls are out of the question, then what What stops Millard from dating peculiar girls?

Okay, I know he lived in a time loop and therefore couldn't get out much to meet new people. But he could start a relationship through letters!

Just imagine: Millard gets a peculiar pen pal and they get to know each other better. As time passes, both of them fall in love and start dating through mail. One day, they decide to plan a trip to some loop to find each other. Imagine how emotional it would be when they finally meet in person!
