Two of my favourite California landscapes so far. Both very different, but equally beautiful.

I love this photo/miss these people!
This is Brittany. She was the first friend I made in LA other than my roommate Corey. She also recently moved (from Chicago), and lives in the same building as me. I can definitely say she is one of the most caring people I've ever met. She's been constantly building me up when I'm down since the day I got here, and making sure I don't recluse when I'm homesick. Today I was a little stressed, so she thought it would be funny/interesting to set up a private house inspection of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills and act like we were buyers.... And then we had the agent take this photo. Something I'll probably never forget.
When a flower doesn’t bloom you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.

Runyon Canyon / The pretty tree's that line my street.
Thousand Steps Beach. Photos by @oshoveit ❤️
I went to Laguna's Thousand Steps Beach with Olivia today. Such a beautiful piece of the world/California and the best way to clear the cobwebs. The sky literally changed from a beautiful mix of blue and orange, to blue with a peep-through of pink, to the last photo in the space of half an hour!
The Broad Museum, Los Angeles. Probably one of the coolest contemporary art museums I have been to! I have already been fortunate enough to see Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Room piece once back home in Australia, but it was great to experience the same space again in another part of the world.
Sunny winter days in LA
Missing my travel partners.
I love San Fransisco. Considering we only stayed for a day and a half we managed to fit quite a lot in! For me, the best part of our stay in SF was the hour ferry ride which took us right under the famous Goodwill bridge and gave the most incredible view of the city. We also got to see Alcatraz up close which was pretty interesting. One thing I didn’t realise at the time was how lucky we were with the weather. Supposedly it’s the city of fog, but there was absolutely no fog until later that night so we were able to see everything pretty clearly during the tour. I feel so lucky to be relatively close by to this city. Definitely going to try and go back soon and explore me. The city itself has such a nice vibe. It reminded me a little of London (Camden specifically) because of the hills and colourful buildings.
A few photos from Yosemite National Park again (our second day there). This place definitely goes down as one of the most beautiful, mesmerising locations I’ve ever been to. I didn’t think I’d ever love something more than Switzerland, but this definitely came close!
Yosemite National Park. Possibly the most beautiful place on this planet! I have waited so many years to come here and it was everything I dreamed of and more. Considering it was bucketing down rain on the drive from San Fransisco, I couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have a clear sunny day in the mountains. Looking forward to another day of exploration tomorrow. Nature and the fresh air makes me so happy!
Big Sur, California. Driving along the Pacific Coast freeway from LA to San Fransisco was something I’ll never forget. I highly recommend to anyone making the drive that you get off the 101 freeway and take the scenic coast route instead, it is absolutely incredible! The whole drive is filled with beautiful cliff edges, blue water, steep green hills and winding roads. There is no way you could get bored. Although it’s a few hours longer than the inland route, it’s 100% worth it.
We started our road trip from LA to San Fransisco today. First stop was Santa Barbara for lunch on the harbour. This area reminds me a little of home. We are now in Pismo Beach where we will be staying for the night! We managed to get here in pretty good time and caught the sun setting over the beach. Tomorrow we’ll be heading to Big Sur, Pebble Beach, Santa Cruz and then San Fran!
After all the anticipation I am finally here and settled (kind of)! Los Angeles, California.
I wish you could come with me. I will miss you every single day ❤️
