Cats!
I though I was dog person for the longest time because we only had labradors, but then I got first cat and was delightfully proven wrong.
Roly-polies’ are also fun. As a tiny kid my parents had to take me to school a half an hour early because I would stop to pick up every one I saw.

My favorite animal is are crows! I would love to have a crow familiar if I were a mage.
In terms of household pets I’m partial to both cats and dogs, but probably lean more towards cats.
Honorable Mention: Butterflies, ooh ahh so cute, pattern make brain happy. (From a distance tho insects scare me)
