i just got genuinely so emotional rewatching mary poppins cause so much of the magic felt didnt even come from mary poppins' powers or the wacky things that happened for me it genuinely came from the fact that they live in this beautifully decorated house with lovely wallpaper and trinkets, in a road lined with cherry trees, in a walkable city, and the chimney sweeps there are no more chimney sweeps, no one gets to see the whole world at their feet anymore.
