There’s something about this image that is so adoring, so loving, kiss him please
there is nothing better than a fictional pathetic man. i want to mix him in a bowl with sugar and butter and bake him like a pie. i want to see him drenched in water like a wet kitten. i want to kneed him in my hands like clay.

In the song ‘Dayman’ (Kelly & Reynolds, 2007), Charlie & Dennis talk about the ‘fighter of the nightman’ being a ‘master of karate & friendship for everyone’. It could be argued that the song ‘Dayman’ is just two CSA survivors singing about how their friendships with Mac (a self proclaimed ‘master of karate’) helped them to move past their traumas. In this essay I will-

“Charlie Wants an Abortion“
the gang dances to the most underrated song of all time, voulez-vous by abba
mac starts watching queer eye and has a crush on one of the fab 5, probably antoni, and so to get a chance with him, he nominates charlie for a makeover. they end up coming and the whole time mac is just trying to fuck antoni. dennis thinks he’s qualified to be giving charlie the makeover so he inserts himself into the whole process and fucks everything up. also when they first come over to charlie’s apartment antoni eats the cat food lying around on the floor because he be like that

and we are hotly in love with one another, we’ve got an unquenchable thirst in our throats. we are, for some reason, all the time bleeding; we are friendless.

Have we ever discussed how a lot of Mac’s overprotective nature and inflated sense of protectiveness probably comes from his desire to protect Charlie, his only friend, when they were kids? They really only had each other, and they were both in horrible situations, but Charlie’s was especially awful. Judging by a pretty surface-level reading of “Dayman,” it’s pretty clear that, on some level of conciousness, Charlie wrote it about Mac. This is combination with what we know about their childhood friendship and current personalities, it’s easy to see where this comes from. In fact, Mac still has a really nurturing attitude toward Charlie as an adult. Some examples are in Pop-Pop: The Final Solution, where Mac encourages him about reading the lawyer’s sign, and in Charlie Catches a Leprechaun, where he’s pressing him about the paint in the way a parent would a child. I don’t think he treats Charlie like a child, but he definitely cares for him in a more nurturing way than he does anyone else in the gang. I’d even venture to say that a lot of Charlie’s well-adjustedness comes from constantly having Mac around to watch his back, even if he doesn’t need it.
there are literally so many places they could go with a super bowl episode and yet my brain is just like oh? mac and rex, in an ep together, involving the super bowl? perhaps at the sporting event itself? KISS CAM! KISS CAM! KISS CAM! KISS CAM!
Yeah. The world is a safer place when he’s around.
