For my main skip beat fanfic. Warning still on-going. But there are 139 chapters so you have time before running out. Because there is no cure for skip beat love. I hope for anyone that might pick it up, you will enjoy it. Double warning, it is a slow-burn. I know, I know, the manga is already doing it, why am I inflicting this to us all? I have my reasons. One of them might be I was taught too well by the author of the manga, lol.

People reacting to Skip Beat and turning into new fans after all these years makes me so happy. Watching people fall in love with this manga and anime, and laugh about it, is the best feeling i could ever ask for.

Also, there is a new petition going around. But this time, while new, it is happening on change.org. And if you didn't know, it is the petition site that managed to convince producers to turn solo leveling webtoon into an anime. Without even mentioning skip beat has a lot more material they could go through, or that reboots and readaptations are very, very popular these days. Since i think it is worth a shot, i signed it. Hope oldie fans will still have the heart to try and to rekindle their faith. This manga deserves the beauty of colours and animation. And for many of us is such a fond story and joy.

I could wax poetic about Nakamura-sensei’s talents with facial expressions and eyes, but nothing makes my heart do somersaults like Ren’s face when he’s looking at Kyoko when he thinks no one’s watching him.

i re-read skip beat for the first time in, like, four years and i have to say...the secret identity situation gets downright comical at times and i'm living for it. imagine coming face-to-face for the first time in five years with your dad, and he's gotten the girl you love to method-act the part of you when you were fifteen. imagine finding out that your mother (whom you also haven't seen in five years) has come to japan because you asked the girl you love to send a picture of herself at an amusement park...and she sent you a picture taken together with your mother. ren tsuruga just lives like this.
