strangely enough, noelle holiday in chapter 5 of the weird route reminds me of phainon from honkai star rail 😭

her whole thing with her realizing that hometown may not be real and that they’re in a loop of sorts reminds me of amphoreus as a whole, especially regarding the way khaslana would repeat timeloops, since the story is about all characters there eventually learning that their world isn’t real and neither are they.

both noelle and phainon/khaslana express feelings of depression and other negative emotions upon realization and living through a time loop within a fake world over and over again. both of them are also very nostalgic regarding their people of the past (with noelle often bringing up stories of the past with kris, and phainon longing for his hometown), and even made attempts to breach their fake worlds barriers too. both of them also lost their sister/sister figure, which served as the first stepping stone of their emotional and mental downfall
